Event Update For 2020-04-04

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Hey Jonny, everyone - welcome to another week on the road down and out.

The pandemic is just the latest calamity to face humanity as all the others (environmental problems, social upheaval, other medical issues, crime, mental health problems due to being confined, drug and alcohol abuse, supply chain and resource trouble, etc.) continue.

"A truly remarkable monster system." A Category Five superstorm, generating destructive winds and "phenomenal" seas: Harold the deadly cyclone is about to smash the Pacific nation of Vanuatu
    http://www.thebigwobble.org/2020/04/a-truly-remarkable-monster-system.html

Tropical Cyclone Harold has done an unprecedented intensification into a powerful monster tropical system. It is packing 120 knots (140 mph / 225 km/h) maximum sustained winds and 936 mbar (914 mbar per Vanuatu Met. office) central pressure. This officially puts Harold into a Category 5 system, based on the Australian/Fiji classification. That is a Category 4 equivalent tropical system based on the Saffir-Simpson scale. [more]

  2. The upcoming 'super pink moon' will be the biggest and best of 2020
    https://www.sott.net/article/431964-The-upcoming-super-pink-moon-will-be-the-biggest-and-best-of-2020

Peaking on April 7 and 8, the pink moon is expected to be the brightest supermoon of 2020.

But don't expect the moon to actually be pink. Instead it will be its usual color, just brighter and bigger, especially when it's close to the horizon at moon rise or moon set.

According to The Farmer's Almanac, full moons are named after the seasons or events usually happening during the season. As such, the Pink Moon is named for the first spring flowers that cover the ground like a pink carpet, called Wild Ground Phlox or Moss Phlox (Phlox subulata). Native to North America, these flowers often bloom around April's full moon. [more]

Meteorologists warn winter may return to the Northeast
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/meteorologists-warn-winter-may-return-160001834.html

After late-spring warmth surges into parts of the East through the middle of next week, winter looks to return ahead of Easter weekend.

A surge of warmth is set to spread from the center of the country to the Northeast through the weekend and early next week.

Temperature will top out near 70 in parts of the Ohio Valley by Tuesday, and Washington, D.C. may near 80 degrees F by Wednesday.

"A sharp change in temperature is in store for the eastern half of the country late next week," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Nicole LoBiondo.

A cold front will sweep across the country from Wednesday through Friday, bringing the perception that winter has returned.

Temperatures will fall as much as 10 to 20 degrees in just 24 hours. [more]

Coronavirus is revealing how broken America’s economy really is
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/coronavirus-revealing-broken-america-economy-070050465.html

Covid-19 has merely shown the cracks in a very successful marketing campaign about which category the US falls into.

We’ve been told that America, like most other majority-white countries, deserves the title “developed economy”. It does not. You can not charge a woman $39.95 to hold the baby that she has just given birth to. You can not constantly operate hospitals at close to capacity in order to maximize profits. The pursuit of private money in systems built for public good has not worked ethically or practically. [more]

Fauci, Navarro reportedly got into a heated dispute over unproven coronavirus treatment
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/fauci-navarro-reportedly-got-heated-020500911.html

Four people with knowledge of the matter told Axios' Jonathan Swan the argument took place near the end of a White House coronavirus task force meeting, after Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn brought up hydroxychloroquine, an antimalarial drug Trump has touted as a possible "game-changer" in the fight against coronavirus. When Hahn was finished giving updates on drug trials, Navarro put folders down on the table where Hahn, Fauci, Vice President Mike Pence, and others were sitting.

One person familiar with the conversation told Swan the "first words out of his mouth are that the studies that he's seen, I believe they're mostly overseas, show 'clear therapeutic efficacy.' Those are the exact words out of his mouth." Fauci responded that this was anecdotal evidence, and this "just set Peter off," Swan reports. Navarro pointed to the folders and said, "That's science, not anecdote," a source said, and as his voice continued to get louder, Pence tried to intervene. "It was pretty clear that everyone was just trying to get Peter to sit down and stop being so confrontational," another person told Swan. [more]

Governors plead for food stamp flexibility amid pandemic
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/governors-plead-food-stamp-flexibility-043323335.html

Buying groceries online — which many Americans are doing to drastically reduce how often they leave their homes — is only open to SNAP recipients in six U.S. states, and Pennsylvania is not one of them.

Now, state governments and food security activists across the country are imploring the U.S. Department of Agriculture to make the program more flexible and easier to access at a time when so many people are losing their jobs and turning to the government for support.

The calls have even come from conservative states where lawmakers have tried to reduce or limit food aid. [more]
