Event Update For 2019-12-08

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2019-12-08 - Unknown foul odor periodically plaguing Tehran (Iran):
http://en.radiofarda.com/a/mysterious-foul-odor-tehran-investigated-jokes-abound/30314035.html
http://www.payvand.com/news/19/dec/1025.html

Quote: "Tehran Mayor on Sunday said results of the investigation to find the source a foul odor periodically plaguing various areas of the capital since January have been sent to the Disaster Mitigation and Management Organization. In an interview with the state-run television (IRIB) last night the mayor Pirouz Hanachi said there is still no definite answer about the source of the obnoxious smell."

Note: Iran's really known for two things: oil and gas. Both oil and gas often have hydrogen sulfide in them, caused by bacteria. The presence of hydrogen sulfide in oil or gas is what makes it 'sour'. If it has none then it's called 'sweet'. It could be that the oil and gas in the ground there is becoming more sour and leaking hydrogen sulfide into the surrounding area. The US Strategic Oil Reserve has also become contaminated with considerable amounts of hydrogen sulfide...

http://globalnews.ca/news/6271319/new-zealand-volcano-eruption/

Quote: "At least five people were killed, up to 20 injured and several were reported missing after a volcano suddenly erupted off the coast of New Zealand's North Island on Monday, spewing a plume of ash thousands of feet into the air. More casualties were feared on White Island, where the volcano erupted at about 2:11 p.m. (0111 GMT), police said."

Note: I'm beginning to think about considering the possibility of pondering whether there's a chance that tourism to active volcanoes might not be the best idea!

The toxic gases continue wreaking havoc on civilization. Great analysis yesterday about where this is all headed, too. Dropping dead is better than starving and takes all the pressure off suicide, so it's a blessing in disguise.

People continue parking under water (and staying in their vehicle). Less crowded there, no lack of space? i guess there are advantages.

Norway greenlights copper mine that will dump two million tons of tailings in Arctic fjord each year – “Dumping of mining waste will kill every living thing on the ocean floor in the immediate area and disturb spawning grounds over a much greater distance”

“Allowing this to happen with a protected national salmon fjord doesn’t make sense at all,” said Silje Lundberg, head of Naturvernforbundet. The organisation is the Norwegian branch of Friends of the Earth.

Lundberg said the planned dumping of tailings from the copper mine to the fjord is equivalent to 17 lorry loads every hour of production. In total, that sums up to two million tons of tailings every year.

The Norwegian government on Friday turned down the protests and gave final thumbs up to Nussir mining company to start exploring the resources, estimated to about 72 million tons of copper ore. [more; it works faster than building a nuke plant there, i suppose - so . ..efficiency!]

Global carbon emissions growth slows, but still hits record high in 2019 – “Emissions cuts in wealthier nations must outpace increases in poorer countries where access to energy is still needed”

The runaway train that is climate change is about to blow past another milestone: global fossil-fuel carbon dioxide emissions will reach yet another record high. Driven by rising natural gas and oil consumption, levels of CO2 are expected to hit 37 billion metric tons this year, according to new estimates from the Global Carbon Project, an initiative led by Stanford University scientist Rob Jackson. Urgent UN talks on tackling the climate emergency are still not addressing the true scale of the crisis, one of the world’s leading climate scientists has warned, as high-ranking ministers from governments around the world began to arrive in Madrid for the final days of negotiations.

World's richest countries need to behave like adults in climate fight - Kerry
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/worlds-richest-countries-behave-adults-121639276.html

The world's richest nations are failing to "behave like adults" and act firmly enough to meet global warming targets set in the Paris climate accord, former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Tuesday.

Kerry, who served as the top U.S. diplomat under President Barack Obama and was a leading player in brokering the Paris Agreement in 2015, said the G20 nations are lagging behind on emission reduction plans and financial pledges to poor countries instead of setting a high bar for global climate action.

"The burden falls largely on the G20 to behave like adults, like great nations ought to," Kerry told Reuters on the sidelines of the U.N. climate talks in Madrid, referring to a grouping of top industrial economies.

"We are at a critical stage in terms of being behind (our targets) and the absence of U.S. leadership is one component," he said. [more; yeah, right John - yawn]

    https://www.sott.net/article/425431-The-cost-of-sanity-in-this-society-is-a-certain-level-of-alienation

The late psychonaut/philosopher Terence McKenna once said "The cost of sanity, in this society, is a certain level of alienation," and I think my regular readers will immediately and experientially understand exactly what he was talking about.

there exists a general consensus about what's going on in our world at the moment. There's a general consensus that we live in the kind of society we were taught about in school: a free and democratic nation which maybe did some not so great things in the past, but is now a supremely virtuous beacon of light on this earth that kicked Hitler's ass and then surfed into the present day on a wave of truth and sensible fiscal policy. There's a general consensus that the news reporters on our screens paint us a more or less accurate picture of world affairs, that there are a lot of Bad Guys in our world with whom the Good Guys in our government are fighting, and that most of our nation's problems are caused by the people in the other political party.

This consensus is grounded in delusion. It is insanity.

In reality, of course, we live in a world where our understanding of the world is constantly being deceitfully manipulated by oligarchic media propaganda and the utterances of oligarch-owned politicians. Where elections are mostly just a live action role-playing game which allows the rabble to pretend that they have some degree of influence over the things that their government does. Where our government routinely forms alliances with the worst Bad Guys on the planet while manufacturing consent to topple governments whose downfall would be utterly disastrous. Where our nation's problems have almost nothing to do with half its population disagreeing with our personal ideology, and practically everything to do with the loose international alliance of plutocrats and government agencies who actually run things behind the facade of the comings and goings of official elected governments.

Sanity means seeing this as it is, rather than subscribing to the mass delusion of the consensus worldview. Which, as you probably already know, can make it difficult to relate to others in some ways. [more]
'Cannot be trusted ... causing harm': Top medical journal takes on big pharma
    https://www.sott.net/article/425396-Cannot-be-trusted-causing-harm-Top-medical-journal-takes-on-big-pharma

A leading medical journal is launching a global campaign to separate medicine from big pharma, linking industry influence to the pelvic mesh scandal that injured hundreds of women.

The BMJ says doctors are being unduly influenced by industry-sponsored education events and industry-funded trials for major drugs.

The "endemic financial entanglement with industry is distorting the production and use of healthcare evidence, causing harm to individuals and waste for health systems", they write.

They are calling for governments to start funding independent trials of new drugs and medical devices, rather than relying on industry-funded studies. Sponsored research is more likely to find a favourable result compared to independent research, studies show.

And they want medical associations to discourage doctors from going to industry-funded education events. [more]

  5. Pretty suspicious for a C-130 Hercules to just go dark without a squawk of any kind like that. Maybe they flew through a cloud of methane and/or hydrogen sulfide, which could cause both the pilots to suddenly become disabled (dead, unconscious or spazzing out with seizures), and that could also cause a fire and/or explosion that could suddenly disable the communications capability. Something had to have disabled either both the pilots or the communications gear, or both, suddenly.
