Event Update For 2018-05-04

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. That story you have about a fire near "Anderson Mill", TX with Mill bolded is in north Austin. Anderson Mill is a major road, not a town. And there is no actual mill. FYI.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I thought it was this place:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderson_Mill,_Austin,_Texas

"Anderson Mill is named after Thomas Anderson. He moved from Virginia to Texas in the 1850s. In the 1860s he set up a mill here to make gunpowder for the Confederate Army. After the war Anderson converted the mill to a gristmill."

A former census-designated area. Still searchable with Google Maps though. Isn't that the place? And even if the mill is gone, whatever allowed there to BE a mill - e.g. a body of flowing water - might still be there (but I dunno, sometimes streams and stuff do get diverted or built over).

    1. I did know that it was named after an actual Mill from many years ago. The area, other than the road itself, called Anderson Mill is basically a neighborhood. I'm guessing that is where the mill used to be. Whatever the mill was using as a water source is obviously not what it used to be. It must have been Pond Springs and a stream outflowing from it, which is the name of the road this fire was actually on. Yeah the stream is now built over, diverted, basically gone.

Anyway, leaving it as Anderson Mill in the post is probably fine. In Austin when someone says Anderson Mill they generally mean that specific area of town and/or the road.

    2. Heh, well, now I know way more about Anderson Mill than I ever really wanted to know!

But seriously, anytime you see 'mill', there's almost always a body of flowing water around. In fact, in six plus years, every single time I've looked, and that's a lot of times, that's been the case. Mill = body of flowing water. And that makes sense - it's free energy for mill work. Spin some wheels, do some grinding or whatever.

  3. Heh, nevermind, the creeks and stuff are still there. From the Wiki article:

"The area has seven neighborhood parks, two junior olympic swimming pools, eight lighted tennis courts, six extensive playscapes, two basketball courts, three sand volleyball courts, six pavilions of various sizes, an athletic field with both soccer and softball fields and nearly six miles of hike and bike trails that meander through the neighborhood following Lake Creek and its tributaries."

So Lake Creek and its tributaries must have been where the mill was, even if it's gone now, which I imagine it is, since that was 19th century tech.

    1. Oh of course....Lake Creek. Duh! They even named a huge mall after it, which every creek desires.

Well I'm a far south Austin guy. North Austin is a whole other country as far as I'm concerned. I very rarely have to venture up that way anymore, which is good.

  4. You get the best colors in your banner pics, Jonny - photoshop? No.

Authorities either can't or won't connect the dots when accidents and incidents coincide at the same location. What is this, India? "They most assuredly both ingested poison, for an unknown reason. The driver of the car off the cliff may have been related to the woman who dropped dead at the beach . . ."
authorities didn't say. No. Here we say there's no connection.

After the SUV hit the building, which then partially collapsed, how does the insurance companies handle it? Does the driver get
charged for all the damage, or do they each submit claims? Probably the latter, but i'm not sure. Remember, this stuff happens every day!
