Event Update For 2017-10-23

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

http://strangesounds.org/2017/10/us-nuclear-regulators-risk-radioactive-material-storage-fires-usa.html

Note: All of these places will eventually degrade and release huge amounts of radiation. These facilities, and there are many, require significant amounts of energy and resources and manpower to maintain. At some point there won't be enough people left alive to do that. As soon as there are too few people left alive to deal with these places, radiation will spew all over the planet. Maybe we could proactively create robots to maintain these places after there are too few people alive to do it, but why bother? To save some weeds, bugs, rats, jellyfish, sea lice and bacteria from the radiation?

There's a new type of diabetes that's being misdiagnosed as Type II
    https://www.sott.net/article/365339-Theres-a-new-type-of-diabetes-thats-being-misdiagnosed-as-Type-II

Type 3c diabetes is caused by damage to the pancreas from inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), tumours of the pancreas, or pancreatic surgery.

This type of damage to the pancreas not only impairs the organ's ability to produce insulin but also to produce the proteins needed to digest food (digestive enzymes) and other hormones.

"It's A Huge Story": China Launching "Petroyuan" In Two Months
    http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2017/10/meet-petroyuan.html

[as we learned from Ponzi World]
according to Adam Levinson, of hedge fund manager Graticule Asset Management Asia,

Small market declines could escalate quickly,

“You don’t know when an event or an issue is going to present itself,” he said.

“But when it does, the nature of the volatility construct in markets today is such that if you have a modest correction it will turn into a much more severe one in a short period of time, because of the entrenched structural short-selling of volatility.

Hillary Clinton and the "Trump Dossier"

Hillary Clinton Lied, Paid For "Trump Dossier
    http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2017/10/hillary-clinton-and-trump-dossier.html

What was previously widely suspected has now been confirmed. In its latest bombshell report that - for once - doesn’t include some nefarious allegations of wrongdoing or incompetence involving President Donald Trump or members of his administration, the Washington Post reported Tuesday that the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign jointly financed the creation of the infamous “Trump dossier," which helped inspire the launch of the floundering investigations into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. What happens when every risk asset implodes at the exact same time? We're about to find out...

"It was a Black Swan event"

The problem with artificially suppressed volatility is that it doesn't give markets a chance to shake out the weak hands and build support levels below the market. As the market climbs asymptotically, gamblers are forced to chase momentum at all price levels, leaving no chance to build a base. On the downside, the avalanche has nothing to stop it.  [more]

The Tinakula volcano in Solomon Islands continues erupting for the fifth day in a row after it burst into life October 20, 2017. The 30 or so protesters gathered angrily in Providence with signs including “Un-gag the EPA” and “Science not Silence,” according to the Associated Press. The decision was condemned by researchers as well as Democratic members of Congress. 5. Finally, after at least 3 months (and it felt like years), my favorite Italian restaurant is reopening after renovation. Heading there tonight with my wife, grandson and his French girlfriend (visiting for a few weeks from Paris - where he stayed with her ALL SUMMER). It's a byo, so I usually bring a red and a white wine. i'll bring a bottle of my home-made wine (secret recipe: crushed and pressed Thompson seedless table grapes blended with a dark red for color - it comes out blush and kicks ass) from a few years ago for the owner/chef (right off the boat Italian).
