Note: I normally don't list animal-on-animal attacks, but in light of the boy getting his feet munched on by sea lice at a beach last month in Australia, mentioned in the 2017-08-06 update, I thought this was worth noting. Mutated people-eating sea lice was the premise of the 2012 movie 'The Bay' too, which is worth a watch if you haven't seen it. Sea lice are infecting and killing off salmon now in the Pacific Northwest too. These things are ancient and have survived numerous extinction events, so whereas the vast majority of species will be expunged, these things may actually do pretty well, possibly at our expense. They sure seem to be doing pretty well so far...
