Event Update For 2017-10-22

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2017-10-22 - Clothes and prayer mats mysteriously burst into flame at home in Kampung Penambang (Malaysia):

http://www.sott.net/article/365143-Mysterious-fires-plague-Malaysian-family

Quote: "Six years ago, Zainab Sulaiman and her family claimed to have suffered from 'paranormal activity', including mysterious fires at their home in Kampung Penambang Mas near Pantai Cahaya Bulan. The phenomena lasted for several months, resulting in the former petty trader and her family suffering huge losses, including the destruction of their wooden house and other valuable properties. Though still unable to explain the things that were happening to her family, Zainab was glad when the occurrences stopped. But the 80-year-old and her family are now suffering again, claiming that the paranormal activity began again last month. Zainab claimed unexplained fires again occurred, damaging her house and another belonging to her sister. 'The latest incident happened on Friday. I was at our rental homestay with my daughter Ropeah Zakaria, 50, and her three children, aged between 17 and 21, when suddenly five unexplained mysterious fires started to burn our clothes and prayer mats.'"

Note: On the east (downwind) side of a river near the coast. Here's a Google Maps link of the area. Clothing will adsorb methane and hydrogen sulfide. Once there's enough - and nobody will smell or see methane - then spontaneous combustion can occur. This problem is what's been killing the people who have themselves burst into flame (as opposed to homes or vehicles igniting and killing the occupants). This can happen to anything flammable and porous, like clothes, cardboard, dried wood. There's nothing paranormal about this - it's chemistry and physics...

  1. Good morning Jonny, Fran, Mike D. and regular readers. Raining here (finally). What a rude awakening a home explosion must be, geez!

[Yesterday we learned about the enormous clean-up of Puerto Rico, today we have this:]
California launching fire clean-up 'for the record books'
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/california-launching-fire-clean-record-books-011109357.html

Government officials outlined plans Monday for what they say will be the largest fire clean-up in California history, aimed at removing hazardous substances and ash from 8,400 homes and other structures burned in Northern California wildfires.

With hundreds of anxious homeowners listening, state emergency services official Eric Lamoureux set a target of early 2018 for completing the clean-up and allowing owners to start rebuilding.
California has declared a public health emergency in the fire area, in part because of concern for hazardous substances ranging from freon in air-conditioners to asbestos in older homes. The fires that began Oct. 8 have killed at least 42 people, making them the deadliest series of wildfires in state history. [more]

Mapping the devastation from California’s most destructive wildfire
    http://www.latimes.com/projects/la-me-northern-california-fires-structures/

The wildfires that ripped through Northern California this month destroyed at least 8,400 homes and buildings, according to state officials. The scope and scale of damage is among some of the worst from wildfires in state history.

The bulk of the destruction can be found in Santa Rosa, where the Tubbs fire ripped through major residential areas on Oct. 8 and 9. [more; and it ain't over yet!]

People Manage To Kill Three-Quarters Of Flying Insects In Only 27 Years: Part A
    http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2017/10/paul-beckwith-on-insectageddon.html

Humans have always excelled at killing things. No species does it better than us. Technological advancement is fastest in development of more sophisticated and powerful weapons to kill off our enemies.

Corporate propaganda says that to have higher and higher yields of crops to feed exponential population growth we must develop more powerful pesticides to kill off more and more insects. We’ve succeeded in killing off 76% of flying insects in only 27 years. Oops. We need insects to pollinate our crops so that we can grow food. Doh... Not so smart... Ocean acidification is progressing rapidly around the world, new research has found, and its combination with the other threats to marine life is proving deadly. Many organisms that could withstand a certain amount of acidification are at risk of losing this adaptive ability owing to pollution from plastics, and the extra stress from global warming. [more]

  5. I got an e-mail from my (ex) brother-in-law who just retired from being captain of a tug that moves fuel oil and other petroleum products up and down NY Harbor. He checked out the missing water videos and sent them to guys (tug captains have a website) doing the same job on the Mississippi (the entire length) and got this reply from one who hauls barges of grain from the Missouri River all the way down to the Gulf:

All of the pics/videos on YT appear to be of side channels and backwater areas. i'd like to see an aerial view of the shallowest portion of the main channel.

The stage at Cairo is 20+ feet and rising. Navigation problems don't even become a concern until Cairo gets to around 5 feet on the gauge. And gauge heights don't mean squat in relation to channel depths. They are all independent based on arbitrary figures. And yes, an earthquake on the New Madrid COULD be devastating to the River. But if we had another quake like the 1800's one, the Mississippi navigation channel will be way down on the priority list.

So, unless someone wants to explore this on Google Earth and get a look at it in real time, i'm gonna let this one go.

Europe remains a major killer of migrating birds
    https://www.sott.net/article/365286-Europe-remains-a-major-killer-of-migrating-birds

Every year, about 25 million birds are killed across migration routes in the Mediterranean - whether shot, trapped or glued.

In addition, up to 2 million birds are killed illegally in Northern and Central Europe together with the Caucasus region, a new study conducted by BirdLife International has shown.

Surprisingly, most of the birds are slaughtered for "fun," lead author of the study Anne-Laure Brochet told DW.

Egypt is the most dangerous hotspot for migrating birds - 5 to 10 million birds are killed every year in a trapping zone about 800 kilometers (500 miles) long - the total length of Germany, Berthold pointed out. [more]

    https://www.sott.net/article/365316-World-Bank-ministers-rehearse-for-a-pandemic-that-will-come-sooner-than-we-expect

That scenario was part of a pandemic simulation held during the World Bank's annual meeting in Washington this month. It's not the kind of event that people would typically associate with the World Bank. But it's the fourth such exercise the bank has helped organize in the past year, reflecting what experts say is the growing awareness outside the traditional global health sector of the increasing threat and economic disruption posed by a global pandemic. Google's AI watches YouTube clips to learn about human behavior
    https://www.sott.net/article/365309-Googles-AI-watches-YouTube-clips-to-learn-about-human-behavior

    Robots are watching us. Literally.

Google has curated a set of YouTube clips to help machines learn how humans exist in the world. The AVAs, or "atomic visual actions," are three-second clips of people doing everyday things like drinking water, taking a photo, playing an instrument, hugging, standing or cooking.

Ultimately, the goal is to teach computers social visual intelligence, according to an accompanying research paper which describes it as, "understanding what humans are doing, what might they do next and what they are trying to achieve." [more]
