Event Update For 2017-10-21

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Crews haul away remnants of Puerto Rican homes in heaps of trash
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/crews-haul-away-remnants-of-puerto-rican-homes-in-heaps-of-trash/ar-AAtVIRK

None of it was supposed to be garbage. Yet, for weeks, heaps of discarded possessions grew to towering heights across Puerto Rico.

In Levittown, a suburb west of San Juan, residents said trash started piling up on sidewalks the day after Hurricane Maria hit. Waterlogged couches, televisions and refrigerators commingled with toys, clothing and books. The wall of garbage stretched on for blocks, attracting rodents and mosquitoes and raising public health concerns.

Finally, after weeks of waiting, clean-up is underway in Levittown and elsewhere on the island. But at least one local environmentalist is worried about what will happen after the garbage hits the island's overflowing landfills.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, one year before Hurricane Maria made landfall, most of Puerto Rico's 29 operating landfills were beyond capacity. And, nearly half had been ordered closed amid concerns over risks posed to nearby soil and groundwater, the agency said. [more]

On the streets of San Juan, police struggle to contain crime after Hurricane Maria
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/on-the-streets-of-san-juan-police-struggle-to-contain-crime-after-hurricane-maria/ar-AAtRHYB

"It's easier to burglarize - there's no alarms, no phone systems. It's dark. The delinquents are taking advantage of the crisis that Puerto Rico is in," said Puerto Rico Police Officer Heriberto Soto, during a night patrol Tuesday that included calls for a robbery shooting, homeless men torching the outsides of stolen cables to steal the copper inside and a high-speed car chase of suspected gunmen.

And the future for law enforcement on the island is bleak. The department has lost about 4,000 officers in the past five years and, because of the island's economic crisis, cannot count on recruits. Hundreds of U.S. Army soldiers, outside law enforcement officers and private security guards are helping - temporarily - but robberies, murders and drug dealing have resumed at levels that would seem outrageous in mainland states but are normal here.

This animal and its lost mother wandered some 700 km too far south “because they couldn't go north” and got confused.

This bear hit the headlines a few weeks ago after being spotted so far from the Arctic coastline - but its extraordinary achievement in finding its way so far south, deep into dangerous brown bear territory, is now attracting expert attention. [more]

Nitrous oxide emissions are enhanced in a warmer and wetter world
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2017/10/nitrous-oxide-emissions-are-enhanced-in.html

A years-long study of Minnesota farm fields has found that emissions of nitrous oxide—a more dangerous greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide—will likely increase as our planet gets warmer. And our climate models aren't ready.
Like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide (yes, the same stuff as laughing gas) traps heat in Earth’s atmosphere. Although it’s thought to account for only about 6% of the greenhouse effect today, it is about 300 times worse for the climate than CO2. [more]

  5. Newlyweds flying to the Bahamas disappear in the Bermuda Triangle
    https://www.sott.net/article/365173-Newlyweds-flying-to-the-Bahamas-disappear-in-the-Bermuda-Triangle

A Texas couple traveling to the Bahamas for their honeymoon may be the latest victims of the infamous Bermuda Triangle.

At the start of what was to be a week-long trip, Forrest and Donna Sacco flew from the city of Fort Worth in their private plane and landed on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas on September 25th.

That refueling stop was the last that anyone has seen of the couple as they departed that airport the next day and headed for the nearby island of Rum Cay, but never arrived at their destination.

Since the circumstances by which planes and ships go missing there remains a mystery by virtue of their very disappearance, it's impossible to truly say if the couple vanishing is a bonafide Bermuda Triangle event or merely the result of something prosaic such as inclement weather.

Sadly, the Saccos are the second group of Americans to go missing in the Bermuda Triangle this year as a similar incident occurred this past May.

Six years ago, Zainab Sulaiman and her family claimed to have suffered from "paranormal activity", including mysterious fires at their home in Kampung Penambang Mas near Pantai Cahaya Bulan.

The phenomena lasted for several months, resulting in the former petty trader and her family suffering huge losses, including the destruction of their wooden house and other valuable properties. Though still unable to explain the things that were happening to her family, Zainab was glad when the occurrences stopped.

But the 80-year-old and her family are now suffering again, claiming that the paranormal activity began again last month. Zainab claimed unexplained fires again occurred, damaging her house and another belonging to her sister.

"The latest incident happened on Friday. I was at our rental homestay with my daughter Ropeah Zakaria, 50, and her three children, aged between 17 and 21, when suddenly five unexplained mysterious fires started to burn our clothes and prayer mats.[more; including link to astrological "explanation."]
