2015-05-04 - Shallow magnitude 5.8+ earthquake shakes Wanaka (New Zealand):

2015-05-05 - NASA shows some pics of the volcanic island that formed late last year near Tonga:

Note: Volcanic activity continues. Not good. The subsurface oceanic volcanic eruptions, like the one that formed that island off Tonga, and the island off Pakistan, and the island near Japan, and the ones that have erupted off the coast of Oregon, are the ones to really worry about, since the ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea that produce hydrogen sulfide love heat and lack of oxygen, conditions seen around subsurface volcanoes and crustal fractures. And of course all that extra heat will melt the methane clathrates in the area, and the H2S-producing microbes eat methane for food. This is the ancient extinction event that has once again reared its head...

2015-05-05 - Ship bursts into flame in Honolulu Harbor in coastal Honolulu (Hawaii), crew evacuated:

2015-05-05 - Cargo ship 'Georgios P' hit by fire in the Kerch Strait:

2015-05-05 - Boat bursts into flame while parked at home in Vancouver (Washington):

Quote: "Nobody was inside the boat, which was parked in the yard, when it went up in flames, according to the Clark County Fire Marshal's Office. The owners weren't sure what kind of boat it was, but said it was an older boat. 2015-05-05 - Fishing boat bursts into flame while docked in coastal Canso (Canada), nobody aboard:

Quote: "Guysborough RCMP say no one was hurt as a result of a boat fire in Canso. They say officers and firefighters from Canso and Hazel Hill responded to the fire on a commercial fishing vessel at a wharf at roughly 6 p.m. Tuesday night. Police say a resident noticed smoke and flames coming from the ship's vents. They say no one was on the boat at the time and the fire was put out without incident."

2015-05-05 - Fishing boat bursts into flame off the coast of Tabarka (Tunisia), crew rescued:

Quote: "Two speedboats belonging to naval forces rescued, Tuesday evening, nine crew members of a Tunisian fishing boat which caught fire, spokesman of the National Defence Ministry Belhassen Oueslati said. Mr. Oueslati added that the incident occurred 16 miles off North Tabarka."

Quote: "A trailer, shed and boat were destroyed in a fire Tuesday night."

Note: People aboard or not, parked boats or being used, doesn't matter - they're all burning. Some of these ships burning are big expensive commercial ships too, not just rinky-dink $250,000 yachts and whatnot, though those are certainly burning too. Eventually every ship (or other kind of vehicle) that uses electricity (e.g. a battery and electrified copper) or which is made of steel will burn and/or explode. These are the 385th, 386th, 387th, 388th, 390th, 391st and 392nd boats or ships to burn/explode in 2015...

2015-05-06 - Electrical substation damaged by explosion and fire at 6:17 AM near Candor (North Carolina), blackouts ensue:

2015-05-06 - Underground electrical explosions and fire blow multiple manholes off near Penn Station in coastal Manhattan (New York):

Quote: "Several people said they heard a boom when the cover blasted off and thought there was an attack. Flames quickly dissipated, but smoke and an acrid odor hung over the busy commercial area, forcing many business owners to close their doors for a time."

2015-05-06 - Underground electrical fire erupts in Austin (Texas):

Note: Must be all that snow and salt! *cough cough*

2015-05-06 - Electrical panel bursts into flame, fire spreads to two buildings, in Jersey City (New Jersey):

Note: Also see the SUV that burst into flame at an intersection in Jersey City on this day...

2015-05-06 - Transformer bursts into flame at hospital in Lubbock (Texas):

2015-05-06 - Transformer explodes and burns, ignites two passing cars, in Bareilly (India):

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, so as the atmospheric contamination intensifies, there are more electricity-related fires and explosions. All the parked vehicles going up in flames are burning, at least much of the time, because of that same problem. Rusty iron/steel will also cause some of those fires too, but it looks like the electrified copper in the vehicles is the greater of the two problems. No need for a solar flare or EMP to bring down the grid. The atmospheric contamination problem will take care of that just fine...

2015-05-07 - Airport terminal heavily damaged by fire shortly after midnight in Rome (Italy):

Quote: "The fire, which one official called 'very violent,' sent thick clouds of smoke billowing out of the building until mid-morning. It was believed to have been started by a short circuit in an electrical cabin that was under maintenance in an area of shops, an airport official told reporters."

Note: So this was basically another underground electrical fire, but this time it was at an airport and the fire spread and got huge...

2015-05-07 - Underground electrical explosion and fire blows manhole off, blacks out several blocks, in Charleston (West Virginia):

Quote: "The fire started shortly before 7 p.m. at Virginia Street near its intersection with Capitol Street. A little before 7 p.m., a loud boom was heard and a manhole cover flew into the air. Not long after, a reporter saw smoke billowing through the air and heard clanging from the area."

Quote: "The fire department responded, and Paul Allen Craigo, assistant fire chief for the Charleston Fire Department, said American Electric Power (AEP) workers told him some buildings with power currently off downtown could be without power for a week..."

Note: One block east of the Kanawha River. Here's a Google Maps link of the area. And some of the affected area may be without power for a week. This can happen anywhere now, at any time, so you might want to have a contingency plan, just in case - solar chargers, lights, whatever you think you might need if you're left in the dark for a week or a month. Better to have the stuff and not need it than need it and not have it...

2015-05-07 - Heavy smoke in cabin sends passenger plane to emergency landing in coastal Charleston (South Carolina):

Quote: "With alarms blaring and a thick haze of smoke in the cabin, a routine flight up the coast quickly became downright terrifying. 'I was so scared. I started to scream, dropping tears,' said Eileen Ganga, a passenger. Delta's flight 2028 was winging its way from Fort Lauderdale to LaGuardia Airport when the cabin filled up with smoke fast."

2015-05-07 - Small plane bursts into flame mid-air, makes emergency landing at RAF Coningsby (Britain):

Quote: "An RAF Lancaster bomber preparing for VE Day celebrations on Saturday was forced to make an emergency landing today after an engine caught fire. The plane was one of only two in the world that can still fly. The Battle of Britain bomber was on a practice run for the weekend fly past when it caught fire."

Note: These are the 57th and 58th aircraft to smoke or burn in 2015...

2015-05-08 - Antarctica experiencing a net loss of about 92 billion tons of ice per year:

Note: Bad news there. All that mass heading toward the oceans and the thin crust at the bottom of the oceans will cause more quakes and volcanic eruptions, especially in the oceans and in coastal areas. And that will cause more methane and hydrogen sulfide to spew from the oceans, which will cause more fires and explosions, and more animals and people will drop dead. And so on and so on, until we're gone. It's probably best not to count too much on living as long as ten more years. One whiff of invisible hydrogen sulfide blowing by and you could be dead today...

2015-05-08 - Volcano Karangetang erupts violently, some homes flattened, in North Sulawesi (Indonesia), evacuations ensue:

Quote: "Impact of the active volcano’s eruption has flattened several houses in Kora village in the region, BNPB Spokesperson Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said, adding that in the afternoon the volcano was still erupting lava, rocks and hot materials as far as several kilometers from the crater of the volcano."

2015-05-08 - Volcano Turrialba erupts, blows ash a mile high, in Costa Rica:

2015-05-08 - Magnitude 4.3 earthquake shakes coastal Gujarat (India):

Note: MISA Theory keeps on chugging. The more ice that melts on this planet, the more volcanism that occurs. The more volcanism that occurs, the faster we end up extinct. And it's all speeding up, feedbacks reinforcing other feedbacks. It's unstoppable. Maybe it always was. In any case, we can either work on Plan B or we can keep doing whatever it is we're currently doing until we individually each burn to death or fall over dead or whatever. Seeing as people aren't waking up and facing the problem, it seems like people would actually prefer to die than they would prefer to deal with reality. The Earth is totally fine with us committing suicide by inaction...

2015-05-09 - Brand new military Airbus A400M crashes and burns shortly after takeoff, in Seville (Spaine), 4 killed, 2 injured:

2015-05-09 - Small plane crashes into the ocean near coastal North Stradbroke Island (Australia), 1 killed:

2015-05-09 - Small plane crashes into car on coastal Vancouver Island (Canada), 1 injured:

Note: Planes are regularly smoking, burning and crashing now. A passenger plane just made an emergency landing in coastal Charleston (South Carolina) due to heavy smoke in the cabin, and the same day a small plane burst into flame mid-air and made an emergency landing at RAF Coningsby (Britain), both events mentioned in the 2015-05-07 update. The following day, a small plane crashed onto I-285 in Atlanta (Georgia), burst into flame, and killed all 4 people aboard, a small plane crashed into a field in coastal Surrey (Canada), killing one person, a small plane crashed into a bay in coastal Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), killing two people, an Indian Air Force jet crashed and killed two civilians on the ground in West Bengal (India), and a helicopter crashed into a school and burst into flame, killing 8 people and injuring 12 more in Naltar District (Pakistan). Those events were mentioned in the 2015-05-08 update. That's a lot of crashing and burning of aircraft for just three days...

2015-05-10 - Man, 39, killed when car explodes and burns at 3:45 AM at home in Iva (South Carolina):

Quote: "The coroner in Anderson County says a man is dead after an explosion and fire involving a car he was sitting in. Multiple media outlets report emergency crews were called just south of Iva early Sunday morning. According to investigators, a woman said she was awakened by an explosion, but didn't immediately get up. When she heard a second blast, she went outside and heard a car horn blowing. Coroner Greg Shore said the woman walked toward the noise and found her son's car on fire with him inside. The woman said she heard the man screaming but couldn't save him. Shore identified the man as 39-year-old Scottie K. Smith."

Quote: "The mother told Shore she heard Smith screaming inside the burning vehicle, but the doors were locked and she was unable to break a window on the car."

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper. So some of these fires disable the electrical system of vehicles. That means power locks and power windows may stop working, leaving you trapped inside, screaming as you burn to death, which sounds like what happened here. He couldn't open the door and escape, and his mother couldn't break the windows fast enough. That's why I've mentioned that it's probably wise now to keep something handy with which to break windows and cut seatbelts, in case this same thing happens to you. You may have only seconds to act...

2015-05-10 - Man killed when pickup truck bursts into flame on road near Chubbuck (Idaho):

Quote: "Donald said he asked the burn victim what happened and the man said he was driving along when flames overtook his vehicle. Donald said the man's severe burns prevented him from providing more information."

Quote: "The man injured in this incident has been identified as Laddie J. McMasters, 79. He has passed away at the University of Utah Health Care Burn Center."

Note: From the full hypothesis: "Vehicles of all kinds will continue to burn, as they have been, and the number of vehicular fires will continue to escalate, inevitably resulting in a corresponding increase in the number of people being incinerated in their vehicles."

Note: Here's a Google Maps link of the area. These are the 411th, 412th, 413th and 414th boats or ships to burn/explode in 2015...

2015-05-11 - Bus manufacturer's warehouse goes up in flames at 12:20 AM in Valkenswaard (Netherlands):

Quote: "A large fire broke out at VDL Bus & Coach on De Vest in Valkenswaard during the early hours of Monday morning. According to Omroep Brabant, the fire started around 00:20 on Monday morning in a warehouse on the VDL grounds. The fire brigade responded en masse, with three tankers, two platforms and an additional water supply. The fire brigade managed to get the fire under control by 03:30 a.m., but then still had hours to work on the extinguishing. The warehouse burnt down completely."

Note: Gotta wonder how many buses went up in flames in that warehouse...

2015-05-11 - School bus bursts into flame on the A1 near Hatfield (Britain):

Quote: "Emergency services were called to the A1(M) this morning after reports of a school bus on fire. Two fire crews, from Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield, were called to the incident on the A1(M) between Junctions 6 and 4."

Note: This is the 109th school bus to burn in 2015 and the 288th bus to burn in 2015...

2015-05-12 - Car bursts into flame while parked at auto shop in coastal Stamford (Connecticut):

Note: So two parked cars went up in flames in Stamford on this day, at least. Probably just another one of those coincidences *cough cough*...

2015-05-12 - Car bursts into flame while parked at elementary school in Bethel Township (Ohio):

2015-05-12 - Car bursts into flame while parked at home, fire spreads to home, in Jimboomba (Australia):

Note: All of the above vehicles burst into flame while parked. Some of the other vehicles that burned on this day were probably parked too, but the stories didn't specify. And like I've said, since more vehicles are igniting generally, and since many vehicles spend most of their time parked, more parked vehicles are going up in flames. Some of these parked vehicle fires have killed people, when they ignite in the middle of the night in a garage or right outside a house and the fire spreads to the house. It's increasingly unwise to park a vehicle near anything you don't want to see on fire...

Quote: "Emre Thomas Bulloch, 26, was arrested Wednesday at about 6:30 p.m. after the Springfield Police Department received reports of a man 'standing beside the roadway in the 3100 block of Orlando Road … with his genitals in his hand,' police reported. Police also said he was yelling loudly and cursing for no apparent reason, according to arrest records."

Note: This area is on the panhandle, on the Gulf Coast. The day prior, a man in his 20s was found dead at an airport in coastal Naples, also on the Gulf Coast, mentioned in the 2015-05-12 update. Two days before that, two people were found dead in separate dorm rooms at a university in coastal Sarasota, also on the Gulf Coast, mentioned in the 2015-05-10 update. People mysteriously dying and/or going insane on the Gulf Coast in Florida - not exactly surprising...

2015-05-13 - Naked man, 56, found wandering around woods disoriented in Towamensing Township (Pennsylvania):

Note: Hydogen sulfide is neurotoxic and if it doesn't kill you immediately, it may cause seizures, memory loss, hallucinations, 'excited delirium', unconsciousness, brain damage. It can also make you heat up, so you strip naked as you go insane and/or hallucinate, even in the depths of winter. You're most likely to zombify yourself when you're outdoors and when you're in, near or downwind of low-lying areas like ditches, ravines, gorges, canyons, valleys, oceans, seas, lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, creeks, underground parking garages, basements, etc.

Quote: "A frightening school bus fire in Lawrence County, Kentucky put more than 50 lives in danger. Thankfully everyone got out. It happened on U.S. 23 in the McClure's Branch area. Students said the fire spread in minutes and they had less than that to escape."

Note: Two school buses burst into flame the day prior too, one in Rock Hill (Missouri) and one in Rock Hill (South Carolina), both events mentioned in the 2015-05-14 update, so that's five burned-up school buses in five different incidents in less than two days. These are the 114th, 115th and 116th school buses to burn in 2015 and the 300th, 301st and 302nd buses to burn in 2015...

2015-05-15 - Passenger bus bursts into flame on I-40 at Big Bend in St. Louis (Missouri):

Note: About half a mile from me. A school bus just burst into flame not far from here the day before too, mentioned in the 2015-05-14 update, so that's two buses going up in flames in 24 hours in this general area. This is the 303rd bus to burn in 2015...

2015-05-16 - Bellandur Lake bursts into flame in the wee hours in Bengaluru (India):

Quote: "Never did the people of Bengaluru imagine that they would see a day when their lakes would be on fire. While the lakes in the city are under a constant threat due to encroachment, the Bellandur lake on Friday night was seen to be on fire."

Quote: "Utterly puzzled by the phenomena Siddaramaiah, Regional Officer (Bommanahalli division) of the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), said this was the first time in the city that froth or debris on top of the lake was reported to have instantaneously combusted."

Quote: "There is a layer of oil and froth in the lake due to the discharge of effluents from nearby industries. This has led to the accumulation of methane gas, which is very combustible. We believe that it is the methane which caught fire..."

Note: The Meiyu Rver caught fire in coastal Wenzhou (China) too, mentioned in the 2014-03-08 update. And of course lots of people have reported flammable tapwater in recent years due to methane contaminating their water supply. I knew when we saw that river on fire in China that we'd be seeing more instances of bodies of water igniting. Here we go. There's a huge methane clathrate deposit dissociating off the US East Coast (and others elsewhere around the world). Could the OCEANS ignite? It seems quite possible, and if that happens then those fires may be unextinguishable for decades or hundreds of years or more...

2015-05-17 - Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey crashes and burns at coastal Bellows Air Force Base (Hawaii), 1 killed, 21 injured:;-1-dead-21-hurt-/727770/

Quote: "'There was a fire -- unclear at this point whether or not the fire is what caused the hard landing [or] the fire broke out after,' Col. Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman, said today. 'One way or another there was a fire involved.'"

Note: So this crash may have occurred because the aircraft caught fire. That wouldn't be too shocking, seeing as dozens of aircraft have come down smoking or burning or have just plain exploded this year. Here's a Google Maps link of the area...

2015-05-17 - Small plane crashes and burns near the Colorado River, ignites brush fire, in Laughlin (Nevada), 1 killed, 3 injured:

Quote: "The crash occurred about 5:55 p.m. near Needles Highway and Big Bend State Park near the Colorado River. Mercy Air and Care Flight responded to assist with expediting patient transports to area hospitals. 2015-05-18 - Underground electrical fire erupts in Batley (Britain):

Quote: "Crews from Batley were called to Cambridge Road at 7.30pm last night to reports of an underground fire. A West Yorkshire Fire Service spokesperson said that a grass verge at the scene was smoking and residents had reported power cuts and said they had heard crackling sounds."

2015-05-18 - Underground carpark hit by electrical fire at hotel in Bexleyheath area in coastal London (Britain):

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel and copper, especially electrified copper. It's also a heavier-than-air gas, so it tends to seek out low-lying areas, like underground facilities and areas, so the last couple of years has seen a rise in underground fires and explosions, and that's going to get much worse. Vehicles also contain rust and electrified copper, so vehicles are also spontaneously igniting all over the place, sometimes killing people...

2015-05-18 - Metal recycling center hit by deadly fire in Anderson (South Carolina), 1 killed, 1 injured:

Quote: "Chief Randy Bratcher with the Anderson Fire Department said a worker got trapped amid the burning scrap metal. Shore confirmed one man was pronounced dead at the scene and a second man with injuries was taken to AnMed hospital via ambulance Firefighters said crushed cars and various metal was on fire and creating a large plume of smoke that was visible for miles when they arrived. They believe the fire broke out around 9:45 a.m."

2015-05-18 - Landfills now regularly burning in coastal Mumbai (India):

Quote: "Mumbai’s garbage dumping grounds frequently make headlines for unpleasant reasons. For the past two and a half months, the reason has been fire. Since the end of February, at least four separate blazes have been reported from the massive dumping grounds in the eastern suburbs, posing health risks for already irate residents."

Note: They'll stop burning once everything that can burn has burned. Numerous ships have burned in or near Mumbai in the last two years, including one aircraft carrier, and one submarine exploded and burned and killed everyone aboard while docked in Mumbai too. From the full hypothesis: "Trash-related facilities such as recycling centers and landfills will burn hard too, as hydrogen sulfide is absorbed into flammable absorbent materials like wood, paper, cardboard, straw, hay, dried brush, generic trash, clothing, cotton, wool."

2015-05-22 - Naked man gets stuck on bridge in coastal Fort Lauderdale (Florida):

Quote: "A man perched 100 feet atop a railroad drawbridge over the New River. He was agitated and paranoid, rescuers reported. He was also naked. 'Initially when we got here he wasn't very cooperative, he didn't want anyone to come near him and he didn't want to be rescued,' said Deputy Fire Rescue Chief Timothy Heiser. 'He denied any drug use.'"

Note: Less than 30 miles from the MacArthur Causeway in Miami Beach, the site of the original face-eater incident, who was not on drugs...

2015-05-22 - Agitated man says someone chasing him at 6:30 AM, gets in kayak, next seen dead in lake in West Park (Florida):

Quote: "A frantic man who ran through a West Park neighborhood and climbed onto a roof was found dead after taking a kayak into a lake early Friday, officials said. The bizarre incident happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of Southwest 33rd Street, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said."

Note: About 3 or 4 miles from the coast and less than 20 miles from the MacArthur Causeway, where that guy NOT on drugs stripped naked and munched on another guy's face. Here's a Google Maps link of the area. Florida is downwind of the Gulf of Mexico, North America's sewer, so one would expect there to be people dropping dead and going insane in Florida, and they are. Lots of mysterious animal deaths in Florida too, and fires and explosions. It's all the same problem...

2015-05-22 - Naked man tries to steal baby (!) at graduation ceremony in Chatsworth area in coastal Los Angeles (California):

Quote: "The man appeared to be under the influence and suffering an overdose, Madison said."

Note: Foaming at the mouth? Overdosing on Jenkem? People whose brains are fried by hydrogen sulfide may indeed appear like they're 'on drugs'. It's a chemical, so it IS a 'drug', it affects the brain more than anything else, and as Jenkem users have noted, it heats you up, so some people strip naked as they hallucinate and go insane, even in the depths of winter. You're most likely to zombify yourself when outdoors and when in, near or downwind of low-lying areas, like bridges, coastal areas, near bodies of water, valleys, canyons, basements, underground carparks, etc. You're not really safe anywhere though. Mostly it just kills you though...

2015-05-23 - Passenger bus bursts into flame on road in coastal Galle on the island of Sri Lanka:

Quote: "A private bus plying from Colombo to Matara caught fire in Galle this afternoon due to a technical defect, police said."

Note: A mysterious kidney ailment has been killing many people in Sri Lanka too, mentioned in the 2015-01-18 update. From the full hypothesis: "Renal problems - e.g. problems with kidneys - will escalate, as is already happening with crop workers on the western coast of Central America."

These are the 315th, 316th and 317th buses to burn in 2015. Notice where the 3 buses burned: 1) on a river bridge near the coast; 2) near the coast; and 3) in a coastal city on an island. That ain't no coincidence. Not that vehicles aren't burning inland too, but the problem is worse near coasts. Eventually coastlines will be reduced to charred wasteland, but then that's very highly likely to be true of the entire surface of the Earth...but coasts will burn hardest and first. They already are...

2015-05-29 - Naked man runs around in parking lot at business in Denver (Colorado):

Quote: "There was a strange scene at a grocery store parking lot in Denver Friday, as police arrested a man running around naked from the waist down. The incident occurred at around noon at the King Soopers on Leetsdale Drive at South Monaco Parkway. Officers say the man was acting with 'excited delirium' and they were worried about the safety of people in the area."

Note: In October, a woman fell unconscious and 28 people sickened, some experienced 'flu-like' symptoms and some experienced 'excited delirium', at a turkey plant in Willmar (Minnesota). They tested for ammonia, carbon monoxide, found nothing, and found no leaks of any chemicals at the plant. They didn't test for hydrogen sulfide, and that was almost certainly hydrogen sulfide that got into that plant via the HVAC system or through an open window or door or through the sewer system. Hydrogen sulfide is neurotoxic and if it doesn't kill you outright then you may experience hallucinations, aberrant behavior, memory loss, and some people say it makes them hot, which is why people are increasingly stripping naked as they go insane. Also on that same day that the workers sickened at that turkey plant in Willmar (Minnesota) there was also a HazMat incident where unknown fumes sickened seven TSA agents at the airport in Minneapolis (Minnesota), both events mentioned in the 2014-10-18 update...

2015-05-30 - Ground steaming and smoking, smelling like 'gas', in Toba Samosir Regency (Indonesia), near Lake Toba:

Quote: "Suspected hazardous vapors appear on Wednesday (27/5), exactly in the yard beside the house Purasa, located about ten kilometers from Balige, Toba Samosir regency capital. 'Hot steam and smelling like gas coming out of the pores of the soil it is feared to threaten the safety of people around, so we report them to the government,' said one resident, Purasa Silalahi in Sitoluama, Saturday (30/5). Indeed, continued Purasa, since the last three weeks the temperature around the house is very hot, both day and night. In fact, ceramic floor house feels hot. Feeling suspicious of these conditions, he intends to dig the ground next to his house and turns as deep as 50 centimeters shaped steam to heat the smoke arose from the pit excavation."

2015-05-31 - Brakes fail, RV crashes into bridge, in Salem (Oregon), 3 injured:

Quote: "The driver told responding agencies that he couldn't stop at the end of the ramp, where there was a traffic light, because of a malfunction with the RV."

Note: Tires and brake pads are absorbing hydrogen sulfide. Then when brakes are applied, an unusual amount of heat is generated, since hydrogen sulfide burns very hot. Then bad things can happen: tires explode or ignite, brakes burn out or ignite, fluid lines rupture, the entire vehicle goes up in flames, or all of the above. This problem hits massive vehicles the worst - like fire trucks, buses, tanker trucks, big RVs, etc - but no vehicle is immune...

2015-05-31 - Tanker truck overturns at 1:12 AM, bursts into flame, on I-90 near Rosemont (Illinois):

2015-05-31 - Tractor trailer slams into power poles in Memphis (Tennessee), blackouts ensue:

Note: Expect more of these big-vehicle accidents, for two reasons: 1) the brake-friction-fire problem; and 2) drivers are losing consciousness, having 'medical events' or seizures, or dying while driving. Smaller vehicles are having plenty of problems too, but those accidents just tend to injure or kill the people in that vehicle and maybe in whatever vehicle they happen to hit, if they hit someone. When these big vehicles crash, REALLY bad things can happen, like those 69 people who got incinerated at that bus station...
