Event Update For 2015-01-23

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2015-01-23 - Iowa State University researcher studying therapies for hydrogen sulfide poisoning survivors:

Quote: "Wilson Rumbeiha, a professor of veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine, said the poison targets multiple systems in the human body, including the respiratory and cardiovascular systems and the brain. In high enough concentrations, exposure to the gas can be acutely fatal. But Rumbeiha’s research is focused on the long-term consequences of hydrogen sulfide poisoning in survivors. He said exposure can bring about psychological and neurological problems in humans, sometimes months after the exposure. 'In some cases, survivors can end up in a permanent vegetative state,' Rumbeiha sad. 'We don’t have an antidote, and little is known about the mechanisms behind how it works. It’s really a novel area that hasn’t been investigated very well.'"

Note: So as more people continue to get hit by hydrogen sulfide around the world, peoples' brains will take damage and they'll experience psychological and neurological problems, sometimes months AFTER exposure. In other words, people are going to be going crazy in rising numbers and from I've seen so far it looks like a fairly high percentage of people so afflicted tend to be violent - sometimes extremely violent - as they succumb and go insane.

Another question that it would be useful to have answered: Is the neurological damage the same, better or worse if the poisoning occurs via respiration, as compared with being poisoned via touch or via ingestion? And how about damage to other organs, like kidneys and livers and hearts - is that different depending on the method of poisoning? I suspect that breathing hydrogen sulfide gas does the most damage to the brain and being poisoned via ingestion does the most damage to the kidneys and livers, and it probably makes some difference where on your body you're poisoned when it's via skin contact, like when you touch garbage or wood or car upholstery or whatever on the day after a cloud blows through in the wee hours...

  1. Hey Jonny! Take a look at this!

Exploding Lake Killed Hundreds. Now They Know Why

The video and animation claim in was a limnic event, whereby CO2 that collected on the bottom of these two lakes suddenly erupted and spread out - (get this) killing hundreds of people and livestock.

BULLSHIT! It was MUCH more than likely H2S! What happens if CO2 erupts from the lake - IT RISES AWAY IN THE ATMOSPHERE! If it was hydrogen sulfide though - it would have behaved in exactly the way it did! Right?

    1. No, CO2 is heavier-than-air too, so it can suffocate people if enough belches out. The thing is, CO2, methane AND hydrogen sulfide are all produced at the bottom of bodies of water and when one of these bubbles erupts then you get whatever the mix is. There was a 'naturally occurring methane release' off the coast of Santa Monica in 2013, where another bubble popped up, but people complained of the stench on that one, mentioned in the 2013-03-03. CO2 and methane are odorless, so the stench was hydrogen sulfide, though I've no doubt that a bunch of methane burped up TOO.

So that Lake Nyos event in the story there (which occurred in 1986) was a harbinger of things to come. I suspect that's when 'they' started glomming onto the problem, if they'd hadn't already. Obviously, if it's a big CO2 release, you don't want to be nearby, but that's a localized effect. It's the hydrogen sulfide that's the real danger, because it's ALSO heavier-than-air, it's flammable unlike CO2 (and more flammable and more reactive than methane), and it's waaaay more deadly than CO2 or methane.

    2. But also, I don't fully buy the CO2 story either. Hydrogen sulfide is called a 'strangling gas' and the people would look asphyxiated, which is what they'd look like if they asphyxiated on CO2 too. So unless they were really looking, they might simply assume CO2 when there was another factor at play TOO.

    3. And for the record, I originally thought CO2 was a lighter-than-air gas too. Heh, live and learn! But the fact that it's not, but it still mixes all through our atmosphere - that's at least an indication of how hydrogen sulfide will behave in the atmosphere too, except when a little CO2 concentrates and blows over you, it's not going to be a big deal and you may not even notice, but an equivalently-concentrated cloud of hydrogen sulfide can STRIKE YOU DEAD. So, there is that significant difference.

  2. Ok, thanks for the clarification.
