Note: Blamed on a water main break. I don't doubt that. Hydrogen sulfide is corrosive to steel and concrete, so water mains, gas lines, sewer systems, buildings, etc, are all starting to crumble away at an accelerated rate. An example: sewer lines installed only 7 years ago are now already deteriorating in Amarillo (Texas), baffling officials, mentioned in the 2014-11-15 update. Probably the biggest danger is gas lines, because they corrode then they leak or rupture, release gas, and then if any hydrogen sulfide is around and there's also some rusty iron/steel or electrified copper around (and often that is the case), then the hydrogen sulfide will also act as the igniter. When that happens with a gas line at a home you may end up with a home exploding and burning, and many homes ARE exploding now.
Hydrogen sulfide is blowing in off the ocean and hitting the coastal boating town of Jurien Bay on the west coast of Australia, turning it into a veritable ghost town, mentioned in the 2014-08-09 update. That gas won't just stop in Jurien Bay though. It'll keep blowing eastward. What's eastward from Jurien Bay? The rest of Australia, including Port Melbourne...
