Event Update For 2014-11-26

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Animal Die-Offs

2014-11-26 - Around 30 crows have seizures and die in parks in Portland (Oregon):

Quote: "Police say 30 dead crows have been found in downtown Portland parks after reports they were having seizures. A police spokesman says there's no apparent reason for the deaths."

Quote: "The birds were found Wednesday morning in three areas: Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park along the Willamette River, the Chapman and Lownsdale squares set among government buildings a few blocks west of the river, and at the nearby Lovejoy Fountain. Firefighters reported finding no hazardous materials in the air, and officers who checked the area said they found nothing that would have been fatal to the birds."

Note: So they all died near bodies of water then - not surprising. Hydrogen sulfide is neurotoxic and can cause seizures leading to death. It's also water-soluble and tends to accumulate in all the same places that water does, since it's a heavier-than-air gas. Plenty of people have been having seizures and/or dying too, sometimes while driving. These birds most likely got poisoned by contaminated water or by touching stuff (leaves, sticks, branches, etc) that had adsorbed hydrogen sulfide as it blows by. Best not to touch anything you don't have to, especially outdoors, lest you collapse and die too...

Note: Natural gas is odorless so they add methyl mercaptan to it, which smells like 'rotten eggs', as does hydrogen sulfide in low concentrations, as with the giant cloud of hydrogen sulfide that just hit Moscow recently. Also, because natural gas is lighter than air, it is very unlikely to kill someone like this. It would fill up rooms from the ceiling down and the home would explode before the gas became concentrated enough at mouth-level to kill someone with oxygen-displacement. These days, anytime there's a 'rotten egg' smell and a corpse present, that was probably hydrogen sulfide...

  1. You know things are going from bad to worse when not 1, but TWO insurance companies are damaged by fire. Good thing they didn't insure each other or themselves. Can you imagine: "Hey our building burned down, can you send an agent over to assess the damage?" "Ah, not until we get somebody over here to figure out what happened and how much it's gonna cost to replace OUR building."
Meanwhile, all the records are destroyed, making it a long tedious process to recreate accounts, re-establish contacts, etc.

Remember in the Avatar movie how the animals attacked the "bad guys?" Well, it's like that, only it's now open season on ALL humans.

    Sinkhole in Crimea

Massive sinkhole on Crimea highway leaves 6 dead

    1. Mentioned that one in the 2014-09-28 update. Man, that had to be a scary last few moments for those people, driving along on that highway at night and all of a sudden your car goes flying into that gaping hole in the road.

Here's a massive 4-acre tractor-trailer-frying pallet fire, in Fontana (California):

Next to a tire business, which got burned some too. And a house got scorched some. Scary place to have a house: right next door to a tire business, four acres of pallets and dozens of tractor trailers!
