Note: The fire didn't kill him - his heart stopped. Hydrogen sulfide is igniting vehicles AND killing people, often via cardiac arrest caused by respiratory paralysis. Hydrogen sulfide will adsorb onto matter as it blows by, which probably mostly occurs in the wee hours. That includes plastic and rubber, like wiring insulation. It's also reactive with copper, especially electrified copper. So some gas blows by, adsorbs onto the car wiring. Then later, when the car is running, that wiring is electrified and fire breaks out. Not all of the adsorbed hydrogen sulfide will be burned off by the fire, so if you're near enough to breathe the smoke then you may end up dead like this man...

Note: Homeless people are outdoors virtually all the time, fully exposed to any hydrogen sulfide blowing by, so of course they're dying off hard. They also often sleep on the ground, which just makes things worse. Railroad tracks are often in valleys gouged out of the Earth for efficiency, so heavier-than-air hydrogen sulfide will tend to accumulate in such places. I've seen numerous anecdotal comments from people over the past few years saying things like, 'Where'd all the homeless people go?' The answer is obvious: they're dead!

Note: No signs of injury or foul play. This has happened a number of times. Trash is usually outside, fully exposed to the atmosphere, so it's adsorbing hydrogen sulfide. Then people go through the trash looking for cans or whatever and they get contact poisoned and drop dead, then their corpses end up at a recycling center, sometimes - like this man - with no sign of what killed him. (Sometimes the bodies get mangled by trash trucks or other machinery too.) When this happens it's kinda like we're recycling our own corpses as we die. You don't get more environmentally friendly than that! There's really no way to tell what's been contaminated, so it's probably best to minimize what you touch, especially outdoors or in basements or underground carparks or tunnels and the like...

Note: The water in that canal may have been contaminated by hydrogen sulfide, which can cause foaming from the mouth. Numerous people have been found dead foaming at the mouth in the last couple of years, sometimes multiple people in a single incident, and at least once two men died foaming at the mouth while driving a vehicle. By 'preliminary investigation' they mean that they found a person dead and foaming at the mouth and made an assumption that the person did it to themselves. Competent investigators don't make assumptions like that, or any assumptions at all for that matter. I guess they have to make up something to tell their people though. They're definitely very predictable, especially in India, like robots executing a script...

Quote: "The man had just entered the water off a boat near the jetty to start a scuba dive but had not yet submerged under water when he began complaining of chest discomfort. The passengers on the boat called 911, and a rescue boat called fire dispatch as they were en route at 10:41PM. The people on the boat pulled the man up onto the boat and LBFD personnel began CPR on the man, who was in full cardiac arrest, said Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) spokesman Jake Heflin. LBFD personnel then began advanced life support (ALS) and transported the man on a boat to a long dock near Khoury's Restaurant, where they continued giving him ALS measures but the patient did not respond, Heflin said."

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is water-soluble and can kill you via contact with contaminated water. Was it just a coincidence that he didn't suddenly die until after he entered the water? Doubtful. Lots of people have sickened or died after contact with water in recent times. You'll never know if the water is deadly until it's too late, and it might be deadly in one spot but fine five feet away, and vice versa a minute later. It's kinda like Russian Roulette now - mostly you'll win and be fine, but sometimes you'll lose and die...
