Event Update For 2013-12-18

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Corpses In Low-Lying Areas
2013-12-18 - Disturbing number of corpses being found in rivers in Mwea (Kenya):
Quote: "The rate at which decomposed bodies are being recovered from rivers in Kirinyaga county is worrying, police have said. Mwea East police boss Apollo Onyonyi yesterday said that they have recovered more than 100 bodies from Rupingazi and Nyamindi rivers. He said the bodies are suspected to have originated from Gichugu constituency and float downstream to Mwea. Onyonyi said the bodies have no visible marks to suggest foul play and are difficult to identify."
Note: Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas and it will flow downhill, ending up in the same places that water does, like rivers. So these corpses are probably people who have gone to the river to fish or bathe or whatever, then they get a whiff, lose consciousness, fall into the water and breathe water until dead, then float downstream until found...

2013-12-18 - Home leveled by massive explosion and fire in Firth (Nebraska):

Three fire engines with ladders were deployed to pour water on the fire but further ladder trucks were called later in the afternoon, with the fire taking hold in the roof of an adjacent unoccupied factory."

2013-12-18 - Metal and plastic recycling plant erupts in flame, fire gets huge, in Lyles (Tennessee), evacuations ensue:

Quote: "The fire occurred on a portion of the primary site occupied by Industrial Plastics Recycling, a small-scale facility that recycles metals and plastics and has waste product storage."

Note: This had to be one bad fire. They evacuated a 4-mile radius around this plant. That's almost 50 square miles...

Note: An auto recycling plant was just hit by a massive fire the day prior too, in coastal Redwood City (California), as mentioned in the 2013-12-17 update. From the full hypothesis: "Metal-related businesses will be hit hard, including salvage yards and metal recycling centers."

Quote: "Investigators believe the fire started in the garage. Two cars were also destroyed."

Note: Fire probably started when one of those parked cars spontaneously ignited. All vehicles are now randomly-igniting firebombs that can go off at any time, so it's just foolish to park vehicles next to your residence, unless you wanna end up both vehicle-less and homeless, like this family (and many others before them). This street is right on the shore of High Rock Lake...

2013-12-18 - Boat repair shop damaged by fire in coastal Everett (Washington):

Quote: "The fire was started by an overheated heater vent where it vented to the outside of the building."

Note: Any hydrogen sulfide or methane that blows by might ignite in the presence of heated air. This occurred late at night, when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any hydrogen sulfide or methane in the air above closer to the ground. And obviously, as the Pacific Ocean plumes both gases, the West Coast is right in the path, since winds tend to blow west-to-east due to the Earth's rotation...

Note: Other missing people are mentioned. And they're definitely connected by at least two things: general area near the coast, and the atmosphere. Those may be - and probably are - the only connections...

  1. It looks more and more like methane leaking...

    1. Ayup, Things not looking good!

The Moon will be more survivable. It'd actually be way easier to deal with vacuum than a toxic and flammable atmosphere. And there are plenty of interesting things to see on the side of the Moon that always faces away from the Earth, if you view some of Japan's JAXA imagery. Straight lines, box-shaped constructs like buildings perhaps, what look like roads going from crater to crater, probably to mine water, which would then provide oxygen too, etc. I believe that is at least part of Plan B, seeing as Plan A (living on the surface of the Earth) isn't going to be too feasible...
