The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

Of all of them, the work of Eratosthenes in ancient Greece was, I think, the most impressive, especially considering the tools available. His method is used even today with children repeating his work in schools. He was a genius in other ways too. His method for isolating primes from an array of numbers is called 'the Sieve of Eratosthenes'. I once wrote some software for the Commodore 64 that rotated arrays of numbers in and out of the very limited memory to apply the Sieve to them and saved the prime results to disk, repeatedly adding new arrays of numbers to memory to apply the Sieve to, eventually calculating all primes up into the billions. That's nothing compared to the supercomputers of today, but hey, it was a C-64! I called that the 'Shifting Sieve of Eratosthenes. (I admit it, I'm an Eratosthenes fanboy.)
Now we're getting somewhere. Your worldview and mine are vastly different. At this point i'm convinced beyond any doubt that we've been lied to and conditioned SINCE BIRTH to believe the spinning ball theory in order to HIDE GOD. Though i've wavered and strayed throughout my life, i'm now all in to Jesus and God.

I'm not sure how the 'spinning ball theory' in any way 'hides God'. And out of all the things you could test for yourself, you DO believe in 'quantum physics'.
ReplyDeleteWell, you may have the luxury of being a Flat-Earther but that is not a luxury that everyone can afford. Snipers can't ignore the effects of being on a spinning ball, or they'll miss by up to 5 inches at 1,000 meters. That's the difference between a killshot and an injury or a miss. Artillerymen can't ignore being on a spinning ball or they'll miss their targets by way more than that. The same goes for those who operate our rockets, our missiles and our ships' long guns. If THOSE people were Flat Earthers, they'd be putting at risk the lives of everyone they're tasked with protecting, not to mention their own. Of course, none of those people are Flat Earthers, because they'd be incompetent at doing those jobs, because they wouldn't factor in the effects of being on a spinning ball, and would thus be weeded out of the pool of people allowed to do those jobs, all of which require competence.
If our civilization ever faces a hostile Flat Earther civilization, we will dominate them. Their rockets, missiles, artillery and snipers will miss, but ours won't.
Windage is not adjusting for a spinning globe. If the planet was spinning as fast as they say, if you rose up and hovered in a helicopter (or plane) the globe would simply spin away while you remained stationary. This doesn't happen. The sea is LEVEL and planes don't have to constantly correct course DOWNWARD to cope with the falling horizon.

I'm not talking about windage. It's the effect of a spinning planet I'm talking about. The simple example listed in that science document I showed you, with a rock dropped from a tall tower. You can perform that experiment indoors with no wind, or even with no atmosphere at all if you can arrange that. The rock will not fall straight down because it is moving faster at the top of the tower than the ground is, and it retains that speed all the way down. So it gets ahead of the spot directly beneath the line where it was dropped. Extrapolate this effect out and you can see how it affects rockets, missiles, artillery and snipers, with the effect proportional to how close they are to the equator and the difference in elevation between the projectile being fired and the target. This mathematical calculation has nothing to do with wind, and if this math isn't done, and the targeting adjusted, then all of those things will miss.
ReplyDeleteOr put it another way. Our artillery DOES perform these calculations, on the assumption that we ARE on a spinning Earth of known dimensions, and we DO hit our targets. If we stopped compensating for that, we would start missing. So objective reality says that if we want to hit targets, we'd better accept the spinning Earth, do the math, and continue making these adjustments to our aim. It is, after all, working.
Here's an easier experiment. Have someone in Bolivia fire a laser and illuminate some clouds over Houston. If the Earth is round, he won't ever, under any circumstances, on any day, ever be able to even SEE the clouds over Houston, much less illuminate them with a laser, because Bolivia is in the Southern Hemisphere and Houston isn't. Let me know when someone successfully performs that experiment. It wouldn't be THAT costly. Hell, one Flat Earther spent $20,000 on a laser gyroscope to prove we're not on a spinning body. (Result? It registered 15 degrees of rotation every hour while sitting on a table.)

As you can see, if you fire at a target 19,000 yards away, and you DON'T factor in the curvature of the Earth, then you will miss your target by 84 feet. That's unacceptable. So battleship gunners do compensate for the curvature of the Earth, because they need to hit their targets.

Obviously, all of these things must be compensated for when aiming: the rotation of the Earth, the latitude, and the curvature of the Earth. The reason our missiles, rockets, long guns and artillery are all so accurate is because they do make the adjustments necessary to operation on a rotating spherical body. If our military were Flat Earthers, we'd lose just about any conflict.
