Event Update For 2021-11-07

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2021-11-07 - Many parallels found between the current extinction event and the Permian-Triassic extinction event, also called 'The Great Dying':

Quote: "The end-Permian mass extinction event of roughly 252 million years ago – the worst such event in earth’s history – has been linked to vast volcanic emissions of greenhouse gases, a major temperature increase, and the loss of almost every species in the oceans and on land."

Quote: "Now, it seems that even the lakes and rivers were no safe havens. A recent study published by an international team of researchers including Professor and Head of the Department of Geosciences Tracy Frank and Professor Chris Fielding, both newly arrived at UConn, has identified a new cause of extinction during extreme warming events: toxic microbial blooms."

Quote: "'We’re seeing more and more toxic algae blooms in lakes and in shallow marine environments that’s related to increases in temperature and changes in plant communities which are leading to increases in nutrient contributions to freshwater environments,' Frank says. 'So, a lot of parallels to today. The volcanism was a source of CO2 in the past but we know that the rate of CO2 input that was seen back then was similar to the rate of CO2 increases we’re seeing today because of anthropogenic effects.'"

Quote: "'The end-Permian is one of the best places to look for parallels with what’s happening now,' says Fielding. 'The other big parallel is that the increase in temperature at the end of the Permian coincided with massive increases in forest fires. One of the things that destroyed whole ecosystems was fire, and we’re seeing that right now in places like California.'"

Note: This is exactly what I've been saying all along: the current extinction event is a repeat of the Great Dying. What's happening now is Great Dying 2.0. I didn't even know when I first realized that was the case that there were toxic algae blooms during the Great Dying, but we're seeing toxic algae outbreaks ramping up now, and the conditions are heading in the same direction now as they were in the Great Dying, so that makes sense. And obviously our fires are growing ever more apocalyptic too.

Really the only difference is that what kicked off the Great Dying was volcanic eruptions that burned vast amounts of coal, gas and oil in an area called the Siberian Traps and in the current extinction event it's human beings burning vast amounts of coal, gas and oil. We've just replaced the burning caused by volcanoes with burning caused by industrial civilization - that's pretty much the only difference. But the Earth doesn't care why the coal, gas or oil burns, or who or what burns it. The Earth reacts WHEN the coal, gas and oil burns. So what happened during the Great Dying is heading our way now, which means a fierce extinction event that will exterminate most forms of life on this planet, especially higher forms of life like human beings and other large-ish mammals.

In previous science articles I've seen scientists compare what's going on now to events that happened 15,000 years ago, or 5 million years ago, or 30 million years ago, or 65 million years ago. Every time I've seen that, I've thought, 'Y'all aren't looking back far enough. The real parallel is the Great Dying.' Finally it appears that at least some scientists are starting to catch on...
