Event Update For 2021-04-23

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

'Major incident' declared over wildfire in Northern Ireland
    https://www.sott.net/article/451885-Major-incident-declared-over-wildfire-in-Northern-Ireland [~ 2.75 min. video]

A 'major incident' has been declared in Northern Ireland over a wildfire burning in an area of outstanding natural beauty. More than 70 firefighters were involved Saturday in trying to contain the wildfire, while helicopters from both Britain and Ireland are set to join the effort. The wildfire started on Friday morning in the Slieve Donard area — the highest point in Northern Ireland, with a peak of 850 meters (2,780 feet).

Texas Ended Lockdowns and Mask Mandates. Now Locked-Down States Are Where Covid Is Growing Most
    https://mises.org/wire/texas-ended-lockdowns-and-mask-mandates-now-locked-down-states-are-where-covid-growing-most

Early last month, Texas governor Greg Abbott announced he would end the state’s mask mandate and allow most businesses to function at 100 percent capacity.

The response from the corporate media and the Left was predictable. California governor Gavin Newsom declared the move “absolutely reckless.” Beto O’Rourke called the GOP a “cult of death.” Joe Biden called the move “Neanderthal thinking.” Keith Olbermann insisted, “Texas has decided to join the side of the virus” and suggested Texans shouldn’t be allowed to take the covid vaccine. Vanity Fair ran an article with the title “Republican Governors Celebrate COVID Anniversary with Bold Plan to Kill Another 500,000 Americans.”

Other states have followed in Texas’s wake, and Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia are now all states where covid restrictions range from weak to nonexistent.

these predictions about Texas’s fate have proven to be spectacularly wrong. Moreover, many of the states with the worst growth in covid cases—and the worst track records in overall death counts—have been states that have had some of the harshest lockdowns. The failure of the lockdown narrative in this case has been so overwhelming that last week, when asked about the Texas situation, Anthony Fauci could only suggest a few unconvincing lines about how maybe Texans are voluntarily wearing masks and locking down more strenuously than people in other states. In Fauci's weak-sauce explanation we see a narrative that simply fails to explain the actual facts of the matter. [more]

  2. New study on face-masks highlights problems with safety and efficacy
    https://www.sott.net/article/451898-New-study-on-face-masks-highlights-problems-with-safety-and-efficacy

A new study on face masks highlight their inefficacy, lack of safety and ability to cause physiological, psychological and long-term health problems, which may culminate in immune suppression, worsened chronic disease, accelerated aging and premature death

Baruch Vainshelboim, who works with the cardiology division at Stanford's Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System in California, is among the latest to sound the alarm that face masks should be avoided for the general public.

It's not simply an issue of whether or not they "work" - though as he writes, "scientific evidence supporting facemasks' efficacy is lacking" - or that wearing something is better than nothing because, as noted by Vainshelboim, "adverse physiological, psychological and health effects are established."[i] [more]

82 dead in fire after 'oxygen tanks explode' at Covid hospital in Iraq
    https://www.sott.net/article/451896-82-dead-in-fire-after-oxygen-tanks-explode-at-Covid-hospital-in-Iraq

A fire that ravaged a Covid-19 hospital in Iraq's capital killed 82 people pre-dawn Sunday, sparking angry calls for officials to be sacked in a country with long-dilapidated health infrastructure.
Many of the victims were on respirators when the blaze at Baghdad's Ibn al-Khatib hospital started with an explosion caused by "a fault in the storage of oxygen cylinders", medical sources told AFP.

"The hospital had no fire protection system and false ceilings allowed the flames to spread to highly flammable products," Iraq's civil defence arm said.

Many "victims died because they had to be moved and were taken off ventilators, while the others were suffocated by the smoke," it added.

At least 23 deaths were reported by medics in the immediate aftermath of the fire, with an official toll of 82 killed and 110 wounded announced later by the interior ministry.

Videos on social media showed firefighters battling to put out the blaze as patients and their relatives tried to flee the building.

"It was the people (civilians) who got the wounded out," Amir, 35, told AFP, saying he saved his hospitalised brothers "by the skin of his teeth".

One of the victims of the fire, Ali Ibrahim, 52, had been treated for Covid-19 at Ibn al-Khatib and was buried by his family on Sunday at Zaafaraniya, a neighbourhood near the hospital.

"He had just spent 12 days in hospital and was due to be discharged on Saturday evening after recovering. He was just waiting for the result of the last Covid-19 test," one of his relatives told AFP.

140 patients injected with saline instead of Pfizer vaccine 'by mistake' in France
    https://www.sott.net/article/451895-140-patients-injected-with-saline-instead-of-Pfizer-vaccine-by-mistake-in-France

Dozens of people [140 people] due to be vaccinated against Covid-19 using the Pfizer-BioNtTech jab were injected with normal saline instead as the result of an unexplained blunder by French medical workers

The error is therefore not expected to result in any serious health consequences.

The medical workers realized their mistake the following day and swiftly contacted those who had received normal saline shots instead of coronavirus vaccines. The patients were invited to talk to a doctor who could answer their questions, and make a new vaccination appointment.

Some of the affected patients received their real Covid-19 jabs on Friday, while the rest will have to wait until midweek to finally get vaccinated, France Bleu reported.

The health authorities said that they've investigated the incident, but haven't explained how such a mistake was possible. A special medical officer was assigned to monitor the vaccination process at Reims University Hospital to ensure it continues to run smoothly, they added. [more]

The big Pentagon internet mystery now partially solved
    https://www.sott.net/article/451893-The-big-Pentagon-internet-mystery-now-partially-solved

A very strange thing happened on the internet the day President Joe Biden was sworn in. A shadowy company residing at a shared workspace above a Florida bank announced to the world's computer networks that it was now managing a colossal, previously idle chunk of the internet owned by the U.S. Department of Defense.

[in a similar article at https://www.kentik.com/blog/the-mystery-of-as8003/, they say this: The questions that started to surface included: Who is AS8003? Why are they announcing huge amounts of IPv4 space belonging to the U.S. Department of Defense?

And perhaps most interestingly, why did it come alive within the final three minutes of the Trump administration?]

That real estate has since more than quadrupled to 175 million addresses — about 1/25th the size of the current internet.

"It is massive. That is the biggest thing in the history of the internet," said Doug Madory, director of internet analysis at Kentik, a network operating company. It's also more than twice the size of the internet space actually used by the Pentagon.

Incorporated in Delaware and registered by a Beverly Hills lawyer, Global Resource Systems LLC now manages more internet space than China Telecom, AT&T or Comcast. [more; read both articles, i don't get it]

President Joe Biden delivers a speech on infrastructure spending at Carpenters Pittsburgh Training Center, Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in Pittsburgh - Evan Vucci /AP

Joe Biden has been accused of abandoning his commitment to governing for all Americans as he rapidly pushes through policy in the face of an increasingly hostile Republican Party.

As the president approaches his first 100 days in office, he is pushing for bills on everything from climate change to tax hikes to police reform.

But his failure to reconcile with Republicans has even taken some in his own party by surprise.

One moderate Democrats close to Mr Biden said he had become too eager to please the Left wing of his own party at the expense of attempting to heal the divide in a post-Trump America.

Mr Trump predicted a crisis would ensue at the Mexico border, and that has come to pass with tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors arriving from Central America, and Mr Biden's administration scrambling for places to house them.

critics say Mr Biden has been what Republicans accused him of in the election campaign - a moderate front for a very radical agenda.

Mr Biden plans to pay for this colossal spending splurge with tax hikes, including raising corporation tax from 21 per cent to 28 per cent, a move which has even unsettled moderate Democrats.

Investors will be hammered with a near doubling in capital gains tax, to as high as 43.4 per cent.

This week Mr Biden also announced radical new climate change goals - cutting US greenhouse gas emissions to 50 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030 - which Republican opponents called "beyond destructive".

Tara Lee, a spokeswoman for Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, said via email Friday that the state’s Department of Natural Resources was alerted to the shutdown of the worlds’ largest firefighting plane called the Global SuperTanker.

The decision to cease the SuperTanker’s operations was first reported by Fire Aviation, an industry website that reported an email was sent this week to officials in Colorado, Oregon, Washington and the U.S. government saying that the investor group that owns the plane was shutting it down.

A spokesman for company that operates the plane, Global SuperTanker Services LLC, declined to comment Friday.

The Global SuperTanker is a converted Boeing 747 plane that can dump up to 19,200 gallons (72,678 liters) of water or flame retardant in just six seconds and fly as low as 200 feet (61 meters) above the ground to do its work. It can be refilled in just 13 minutes. [more]

  6. This nationwide food brand just recalled every single one of its products
    https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/nationwide-food-brand-just-recalled-210337831.html

When a company has to recall a product it is often pretty serious. That’s especially true when the product is a food item that may contain a harmful pathogen. Typically, just one type of food is affected; a produce company might recall lettuce but still sell tomatoes that are perfectly safe, for example. Unfortunately for Jule’s Foods, a California-based food producer that sells its goods across the country, it has been forced to recall not one, not two, but all of its food products due to the potential for Salmonella contamination.

In a new recall bulletin posted by the FDA, Jule’s Foods explains that the FDA has identified Salmonella in its brie cheese products containing cashews. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t been able to isolate the source. As a result, Jule’s Foods is recalling all of its brie products as well as its artichoke dip and vegan ranch dressing. The five products constitute the entirety of Jule’s Foods offerings, which means the company’s entire line has been deemed a potential hazard. [more]

And for us, no lands are as spiritually significant as the national parks. They should be returned to us. Indians should tend — and protect and preserve — these favored gardens again.”

Sickened NC-SC homeowners seek governor’s help as foul odor gags neighborhoods
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/sickened-nc-sc-homeowners-seek-164532870.html

Homeowners in parts of south Charlotte and Upstate South Carolina said a pungent odor continued wafting into their neighborhoods in recent days, infiltrating their homes and causing headaches and sore throats.

‘I’m nauseous from this,’ a Clover, S.C., woman reported this week on a Facebook page dedicated to the odor. The page had 971 members as of Saturday morning.

“The smell has filled my house and woken me up out of my sleep this morning,” a Rock Hill, S.C., resident reported on the site Saturday morning. “Smells like soured laundry.”

South Carolina environmental health officials believe a paper mill in Catawba, S.C., is the likely culprit. But company officials have denied the claim, and state regulators on Friday said their investigation continues.

Residents reported “odors of rotten eggs, sewage/sewer gas, cabbage, paper mill smells, chemical, etc.,” Renee Shealy, chief of the S.C. Bureau of Environmental Health Services, wrote to New-Indy on April 9.

S.C. investigators found that the New-Indy Containerboard plant in Catawba is a “significant contributor” to the odors, Shealy wrote.

  8. That's huge transfer of internet IP addresses is very suspicious. Here's some more about that:

    https://www.dailyherald.com/business/20210424/the-big-pentagon-internet-mystery-now-partially-solved

What they don't mention is that that kind of thing has to be approved by the Secretary of Defense. That transfer of control over internet addresses was probably okayed by Christopher C. Miller, who Trump appointed as acting Secretary of Defense and who served from November 9, 2020 to January 20, 2021. (Trump liked using 'acting' roles, unconfirmed by the Senate, so as to evade accountability.) That guy had the job for 72 days.

If you read the story, the company that now has control over that swath of IP addresses is based in Plantation, Florida and didn't exist until last fall. It uses a box office as an address. It shares info with an email spam company from the early 2000s though.

If I had to guess, then this is some scam to bilk money from the government dreamed up in the last days by either Christopher Miller or (more likely) Trump. Plantation, Florida is trump country. Christopher Miller had to be in on it at least insofar as okaying it though, but it's possible he was just 'following orders' and didn't look too closely. Also, so far as I know, Christopher Miller isn't under financial stress while Trump is. Odds are this was a last-minute Trump scheme to potentially bilk the government of millions of dollars, if not billions.
