Event Update For 2019-06-26

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Leaders in the French capital have barred the most polluting vehicles from the road. Only gasoline vehicles certified on one of the lowest three emissions levels -- Crit'air 0, 1 and 2 -- will be allowed on the road with electric vehicles. The city has never before taken such preemptive action to keep cars off the roads. 'You have to face reality, which is the increase in air pollution when there is a heatwave, like the one we are experienced at the moment,' France's Minister of Ecological Transition Francois de Rugy said."

  1. Am I the only one who laughed out loud reading the cicada fungus report?

But I do feel bad for the cicadas. Especially the males. Being overcome with a desire to f**k everything after losing genitals and butts. That is just rude.

Gotta hand it to that fungus though. Talk about a creative way to attack a species!

  3. That fungus-cicada thing is just mind-blowing, in part because there are other similar fungi, at least one for bees (zombees) and one for ants. The one that hits ants makes them climb as high as they can then die clutching a twig or small branch with their arms wrapped around it, so their corpses rain down spores from on high. The one with bees I don't recall exactly what behavior it produces, but they fly around spreading the spores anyway.

So how do these fungi know exactly how to infest their prey so as to provoke these specific fungus-friendly behaviors? How, in fact, does a fungus 'know' ANYTHING? It's a fungus! There must be a lot about fungi that we don't know.

  4. The parasitic disease, I can't recall the name, that infects mice, making them forget their fear of cats (which in turn make them easier prey), that is spread through cat waste and is particularly good at infecting female humans too, with weird side-effects, comes to mind. Taxoplasmosis? Something like that.

That biological blood/brain penetration, like licking a certain toad yields a hallucinogenic experience, is a fascinating topic. How it came to be, even if somehow explained, would still be mysterious. It suggests a strange, quantum level, intelligent design kind of connection.

Come to think of it, the whole of evolution suggests this to me. Trying to describe the 'how' of it all is beyond me. Like 'woo' philosophy - it's only words trying to explain the ineffable.

    1. And during the middle ages in Europe when there seemed to be an outbreak of demon possession and witches, it turned out that there was a fungus on the wheat. When some people ate it caused them to have hallucinogenic trips and of course act out very strangely. Unfortunately the church ran the show during those days so a lot of them were put to death for their sins of tripping or being "possessed". If I remember correctly quite a few died without the good church having to kill them.

  6. Good point, Mike - this has been going on for a while, and humanity tends to punish or de-select for what it doesn't understand. Of course, the flip side is DARPA, our current education and health care systems, as well as all of human activity based on misused and abused science, math and other "knowledge" we think we understand.
