Event Update For 2017-06-15

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

An anthropologist's theory on shamanism and the origins of knowledge completely rewrites our understanding of dna

The shaman's world is one of allegory, symbolism, metaphor and transcendence into the realms of energy and spirit. Their understanding of the universe and the abundant sentient beings which inhabit it is wildly foreign to the mind of the material scientist. Our best chance, therefore, at bridging the gap between science and spirit may lie in the anthropological study of those tribal cultures whose operating systems permit them to move freely in the metaphysical realms with the assistance of natural hallucinogenic substances. All the stories presented in Missing 411 are riveting and sad. In the scene, viewers see the boy following his leader back to camp for dinner and then vanishes after the leader looks back. [more; wtf?!]

  6. Just in case you didn't know, you don't need to create a new 'Tom's comments' thread for every post on zeta - you can reply to an existing thread and add your post to that. In other words, you only need one 'Tom's comments' thread, which can contain ALL your posts. Think of a thread as the electronic equivalent of a book, and each post in a thread as a page.

For example, the thread titled 'Submit Relevant News Links Here' has 70 pages at 30 posts per page, so a bit over 2000 posts, but it's still all one thread.

If you put ALL of your posts into ONE 'Tom's comments' thread that will make it more searchable too. For example, say you know you posted something about XYZ but you can't remember what day. If all the posts are in one thread then you can search 30 posts at a time, instead of having to search every post separately, one at a time, because they're all in different threads.

It's not a big deal or anything, just not sure you were aware that you can reply to an existing thread, thereby adding your new post to that thread instead of creating an entirely new thread.

  7. In case you're not sure how to add a post to a thread, here's your most recent thread:

Load that link up and at the top right you'll see an 'addreply' button. Click that and you can add your next comment. Then repeat that for each post you make and that thread will grow and contain as many posts as you add to it.

  8. Also, you could bookmark the above URL, so you can go directly there, so when you're ready to add a new comment, load that bookmark and bam, you're there, then just click the 'addreply' button.

  9. Thanks for the good advice, Jonny.
