Event Update For 2015-02-18

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions

2015-02-18 - ExxonMobil refinery damaged by huge explosion and fire, ash rains down, in coastal Torrance (California), 4 injured:

Quote: "Homes shook in the city when the blast occurred about 8:50 a.m. Caltech’s earthquake researchers in Pasadena said the explosion was equivalent to a magnitude 1.7 temblor. Flames were visible from the refinery on 190th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard, and residents reported ash-like debris and cloth that appeared to be insulation landing like snow on their cars and front lawns."

Note: From the full hypothesis: "Likewise, chemical plants of all types will burn and/or explode, including biofuels plants, fertilizer plants, specialty chemical plants, petroleum-related facilities and more."

2015-02-18 - Home destroyed by explosion and fire in Soddy Daidy (Tennessee), 1 injured:

Quote: "The homeowner told Soddy Daisy firefighters he had lit a charcoal grill on the back porch, then a little later heard an explosion."

Note: Obviously, charcoal doesn't explode and destroy homes, but if a gas plume blows by, any heat source can ignite the gas and THAT can cause an explosion. This looks like a small-ish home-destroying version of the various city-shaking explosions that have been reported around the world since the world's methane clathrate deposits started melting a few years back. It's safest now to keep the following away from your home and especially outside your home: heat sources, rusty iron/steel and electrified copper (doorbells, lights, dimmer switches, etc)...

2015-02-18 - Home damaged by explosion at water heater in Matthews (North Carolina):

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas, so it will accumulate in basements, which is where water heaters are usually located. If the water heater has a pilot light then that will eventually ignite the gas, if something else doesn't do so first (rusty iron/steel, electrified copper). Hydrogen sulfide is also corrosive, so it will cause more gas leaks, as well as acting as the igniter for the gas. This same problem is causing many underground electrical fires and explosions in manholes and the like too...
