Event Update For 2020-09-14

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2020-09-14 - Earth barreling toward 'hothouse' state not seen in 50 million years, epic new climate record shows:

http://www.livescience.com/oldest-climate-record-ever-cenozoic-era.html
http://science.sciencemag.org/content/369/6509/1383

Note: They need to look back even further, to the Permian-Triassic extinction event, the 'Great Dying', 252 million years ago, to find something similar to what's happening now. The extinction event occurring now is a repeat of the Great Dying. The Great Dying was caused by vast amounts of oil, gas and coal being burned by volcanoes in the Siberian Traps. The repeat happening now is caused by the burning of vast amounts of oil, gas and coal from every corner of the planet, by us. Earth doesn't care WHY the oil, gas and coal get burned. The Earth reacts WHEN the oil, gas and coal get burned. We've simply replaced the volcanoes with ourselves as the source of the burning. So the result will be the same: a massive extinction event that wipes out most species on the planet, basically a hard reset on the biosphere with only simpler and/or fast-reproducing species surviving. Good luck to the cockroaches and rats that may yet make it after the human race has been expunged!

  1. Happy Humpday Jonny and everyone.

The die-offs are picking up (enough to be noticed by the mainstream media, at last) so that marine life and birds are making headlines. Anyone paying attention (like everyone on JJFH) sees these and other species (including plants and trees) dying off regularly as it gets too hot, too wet, not cold enough (to kill off predatory species) and more (like how the latest hurricane inadvertently lead to a big rise in the local mosquito population). These knock on effects are what happens when feedback loops develop, as has been the case for the past at least 5 years. So despite GSM and the supposed mini-Ice Age, it's still warming considerably where it counts the most - at the poles. This directly leads to sea-level rise and many other factors.

Meanwhile the mainstream media is busy issuing headlines like this instead of actually trying to get to the bottom of what's behind the seeming simultaneous explosion of fires: "Oregon Officials Warn False Antifa Rumors Waste Precious Resources For Fires," writes NPR.

And now local Portland media is reporting that a 45-year old man has been arrested for starting at least seven brush fires near a major highway: "A man arrested Sunday afternoon for allegedly starting a small brush fire along Interstate 205 was arrested again hours after he was released from jail after he allegedly started six more small fires," according to a Portland Police statement.

So a single individual responsible for no less than seven brush fires - six of which he reportedly started after already being arrested and released... but somehow the media is demanding that the public consider it inconceivable that Antifa could be engaged in a campaign of arson in many of these fires. North Dakota community rallies to help farmer harvest crops after heart attack
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/north-dakota-community-rallies-help-234253732.html

After a North Dakota man suffered a heart attack, dozens of his neighbors gathered together to help him harvest his crops — putting their own crop-picking on hold in the process.

Lane Unhjem, who farms durum wheat and canola at his farm near Crosby, North Dakota, went into cardiac arrest after his combine harvester caught on fire.

When his neighbors got word, dozens of them gathered at Unhjem's farm with a menagerie of equipment in tow. Per Don Anderson, one of the neighbors who aided Unhjem, nearly a dozen combines were taken to the farm.

Neighbors who got involved told KFYR-TV in Bismarck, North Dakota that helping the family was "just kind of the farming way of life." [more; gonna miss that as things go south]

Scotland exaggerated Covid patients by 80%, new tally has just 48 in hospital
    https://www.sott.net/article/441454-Scotland-exaggerated-Covid-patients-by-80-new-tally-has-just-48-in-hospital

NUMBERS of patients in Scottish hospitals with Covid-19 were being dramatically overplayed by around 80 per cent, it emerged today.

Nicola Sturgeon said a review of the counting system had led to the dramatic fall in the official tally.

Under the old measure - which included patients who had recovered from coronavirus, but were still in hospital for unrelated conditions - there would have been 262 people logged today.

But the First Minister said a "new and more accurate measure" showed the current figure was 48 patients.

The centre's director Professor Carl Heneghan today praised the Scottish Government for overhauling counting methods.

But he also called on them to change the overall definition of a positive Covid case, amid concerns that the way people are diagnosed is also overcounting active cases in the community.

"The next step is to clarify the definition of a Covid case so we can be very clear when a patient comes into hospital if they have an active infection, and actually have the disease.
On the counting error, Prof Heneghan said that overestimates were likely to have been a problem for several months. [more]

NASA announces Solar cycle 25 has begun, will be weakest since records began in 1755
    https://www.sott.net/article/441453-NASA-announces-Solar-cycle-25-has-begun-will-be-weakest-since-records-began-in-1755

Solar Cycle 25 is officially underway. NASA and NOAA made the announcement during a media teleconference yesterday, Sept. 15th. According to an international panel of experts, the sunspot number hit rock bottom in Dec. 2019, bringing an end to old Solar Cycle 24. Since then, sunspot counts have been slowly increasing, heralding new Solar Cycle 25.

"How quickly solar activity rises is an indicator on how strong the next solar cycle will be," says Doug Biesecker of NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center, co-chair of the Solar Cycle 25 Prediction Panel. "Although we've seen a steady increase in sunspot activity this year, it is slow." [more]

Storm Francis exposes ancient Welsh forest which has been submerged for 4,500 years
    https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/storm-francis-exposes-ancient-welsh-085300741.html

A petrified Welsh woodland area, which was submerged under water for 4,500 years, has been exposed by Storm Francis — and the images are fascinating.

The eerie forest — made up of pine, oak, alder and birch trees — is believed to have stopped growing around 4,500 to 6,000 years ago, due to the sea level rising and suffocating the trees. But, over the years, climate change has caused the ancient tree stumps to emerge from the sand once again. [more]

Water shortages in US West likelier than previously thought
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/water-shortages-us-west-likelier-001226984.html

There's a chance water levels in the two largest man-made reservoirs in the United States could dip to critically low levels by 2025, jeopardizing the steady flow of Colorado River water that more than 40 million people rely on in the American West.

After a relatively dry summer, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation released models on Tuesday suggesting looming shortages in Lake Powell and Lake Mead — the reservoirs where Colorado River water is stored — are more likely than previously projected.

Compared with an average year, only 55% of Colorado River water is flowing from the Rocky Mountains down to Lake Powell on the Utah-Arizona line. Due to the below-average runoff, government scientists say the reservoirs are 12% more likely to fall to critically low levels by 2025 than they projected in the spring.

“This is a pretty significant increase over what was projected in April due to the declining runoff this year,” hydrologist Carly Jerla said. [more]

A Florida man walking his dog was attacked by an alligator. He used 2 fingers to escape
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/florida-man-being-attacked-alligator-165555609.html

Johnson said he was out walking his dog Rex by a canal near his house around 9:30 a.m. Sept. 13 when he noticed an alligator at the water’s edge. Then the gator noticed them, and lunged.

Johnson yelled for Rex, a golden retriever, to get on home, and he obeyed.

As for the man, his shoe — a Croc sandal — got stuck in the mud and the gator grabbed a hold of his leg. Johnson wrestled with the gator on the ground, and was able to poke it in the eye with two index fingers. That’s when it released its ferocious grip and swam away. [more]

Bow hunters attacked after surprising grizzly bear and her cubs, Idaho officials say
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/bow-hunters-attacked-surprising-grizzly-174847590.html

A grizzly bear surprised and attacked two archery hunters last week, Idaho Fish and Game said.

The hunters had minor injuries after they surprised a female grizzly with cubs, wildlife officials said.

“On the morning of Sept. 9, two archery hunters were attacked after what they described as a surprise encounter with a sow grizzly bear with cubs in the Apache Ridge area of the Upper Pack River drainage,” Fish and Game said in a news release.

One of the men had to get stitches. The hunters used bear spray during the attack and were “able to walk out of the backcountry,” Fish and Game said.

It is at least the second grizzly attack in Idaho this year. In late May, a 500-pound bear attacked a Montana man who was hiking at Henrys Lake State Park [more]

Half of all Americans could find themselves in harsher conditions as the climate crisis causes wildfires on the West Coast, hurricanes on the East Coast, and natural disasters throughout the country
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/half-americans-could-themselves-harsher-065258706.html

Roughly 162 million Americans will likely see a decline in the quality of their environment as the climate crisis continues to cause natural disasters all across the country, ProPublica reported.

The crisis would lead to migration across the US, but as Americans try to avoid one disaster in one part of the country, they may be walking into another crisis in another region. [more; they have no idea]

Plastic pollution: Washed clothing's synthetic mountain of 'fluff'
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/plastic-pollution-washed-clothings-synthetic-180006344.html

When you add it up, the total amount of synthetic microfibres going into the wider environment as we wash our clothes is an astonishing number.

US scientists estimate it to be 5.6 million tonnes since we first started wearing those polyester and nylon garments in a big way in the 1950s.

Just over half this mass - 2.9 million tonnes - has likely ended up in our rivers and seas. [more]
