Event Update For 2017-12-16

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. DANG! What a report you have here today, Jonny! First of all, the driver of the dump truck that plunged off the Old Oak Island Bridge has DIED in an update to the story (I clicked on the 2nd link and found that). I crossed that bridge when I was down there this past spring and noticed that the "guardrails" are awfully LOW (meaning a big vehicle could easily be forced over it).

Another long list of homes and residences being destroyed, not to mention all the people dying abruptly. Poor baby never had a chance to run or play outside with friends - and he wasn't even sick. The usual long list of bizarre accidents with vehicles crashing all over the place piloted by unconscious drivers. Two guys found parked underwater. People still let their kids play in the water in INDIA?! Geez, put a sign up, wi'-ya!

Hackers shut down plant by targeting its safety system
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/hackers-shut-down-plant-by-targeting-its-safety-system/ar-BBGSEo1

Hackers have already attacked critical infrastructure, but now they're launching campaigns that could have dire consequences. FireEye reported that a plant of an unmentioned nature and location (other firms believe it's in the Middle East) was forced to shut down after a hack targeted its industrial safety system -- it's the first known instance of a breach like this taking place. While the digital assault was clearly serious in and of itself, there are hints that it could have been much worse. [more]

Disease wastes South Florida's corals, despite end of bleaching
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/disease-wastes-south-floridas-corals-despite-end-of-bleaching/ar-BBGWsfL

A mysterious epidemic continues to sweep South Florida's reefs, transforming corals into lifeless skeletons and threatening undersea structures that support tourism, provide hurricane protection and serve as homes to a vast range of marine life.

Although coral can recover from bleaching, the ordeal weakens them and makes them vulnerable to disease. Particularly hard hit was Australia's famed Great Barrier Reef. [more]

US Defense Secretary James "Mad Dog" Mattis has refuted claims that the US is preparing for war on Iran after US Ambassador to the UN, Nikkie Haley led a bizarre press conference in which she stated that Iran has armed Houthi fighters in Yemen and thus violating the terms of the JCPOA (aka Iran nuclear deal). Haley did not provide any evidence to substantiate her claims, claims which are logistically impossible given the Saudi led blockade of Yemen which predates the JCPOA by nearly four months. [more]

When FEMA cut off their hotel assistance on Nov. 28, they returned to their gutted home, where five of them — Miranda, her mother and three teenage siblings — have been sharing two mattresses they got at a furniture bank.

This is what Puerto Ricans need from the U.S. government. Right now.
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2017/12/this-is-what-puerto-ricans-need-from-us.html

The federal government’s response to the disaster in Puerto Rico has been painfully slow and not commensurate with the hurricane response in Texas and Florida. It reminds me of Ricky Martin’s 1995 song “María.” He sang, “un pasito pa’lante María, un dos tres, un pasito pa’tras.” That’s the reality in Puerto Rico — one step forward, one step backward. We rejoiced when the first package of $5 billion in aid was approved by Congress. But then the House included a 20 percent import tax on products manufactured in foreign jurisdictions in the tax-reform bill it passed in November. Because Puerto Rico would be considered a “foreign jurisdiction” under the bill, this tax would deal a mortal blow to the island’s fragile economy, costing up to 250,000 jobs. [what if I told you, in the next years the REST of the U.S. will be in the same boat?]

(The Washington Post) – Puerto Rico’s apagón, or “super blackout,” is the longest and largest major power outage in modern U.S. history. Without electricity, there is no reliable source of clean water. School is out, indefinitely. Health care is fraught. Small businesses are faltering. The tasks of daily life are both exhausting and dangerous. There is nothing to do but wait, and no one can say when the lights will come back on.

No power and no water means no school for many of the territory’s more than 1,000 schools.

That’s brought total disruption to the lives of tens of thousands of children. They have lost their daily routine of classes, friends and meals. Most have not been to school at all this fall.

Since the storm, there has been a surge of deaths from pneumonia, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and breathing disorders compared with the same period in 2016. The toll could rise over 1,000, some estimate. [bingo!]

    Third World Revelations
    http://ponziworld.blogspot.com/2017/12/third-world-already.html

Since 2008, I've continuously made the assertion that when this last bubble pops, the U.S., and its vassal states, will be revealed to be Third World nations. That ship has already sailed...

What makes a nation Third World is extreme wealth inequality combined with an appetite for rapacious exploitation among the nation's wealthy. Voila. Another feature of Third World nations is authoritarian leadership with little or no regard for the law: Megalomaniac despots who hire and fire people at will. Meanwhile, apologists for extreme greed say that wealth inequality is a "feature" of capitalism. Sure, we get it - we can't all be Bill Gates. However, the type of wealth inequality that exhibits now is the impoverishment of the middle class to benefit an ever-smaller cadre of bailed out paper billionaires. I say paper because while profit margins have never been higher, corporate revenues have been stagnant for the past decade, which is all the more staggering given the more than doubling in U.S. debt, and the increase in the population.

Adjusting for inflation and population, real retail sales are at 2007 levels. What "growth" exists is a function of adding more bodies to the population...[more]
