2016-04-08 - Mysterious explosion shakes homes on the coast near Wilmington (North Carolina):

Note: They try hard to blame this on a sonic boom and show some stuff on radar and say it's chaff. Dunno, could be, but maybe not. This isn't far from where a huge explosion shook homes last year, followed shortly by a massive number of fish washing ashore dead, mentioned in the 2015-03-18 update. Could be this was the same thing. That explosion was very likely a large bubble of gas breaching the surface of the ocean and exploding, and either the explosion killed the fish (like Earth's version of dynamite-fishing, but on a grand scale) or the gas(es) suffocated and/or poisoned the fish on the way to the surface, or some of both.

There are 5 trillion pounds of explosively flammable methane dissociating off the East Coast, which is enough methane to cause a quarter of a million 10-kiloton explosions, and that's just ONE of the methane clathrate deposits that are now dissociating on this planet. I wonder if they'll try to blame it on a sonic boom when a cloud of methane blows over the coast and destroys a populated area with a gigantic explosion and firestorm. The government has already trained for 10-kiloton explosions hitting the East Coast, in Manhattan, mentioned in the 2014-10-22 update. Estimates are for 100,000 people being instantly killed...

2016-04-13 - Rotten-egg 'gas odor' reported again in Porter Ranch (California):

Quote: "There are new complaints of a gas odor in the neighborhood where a huge leak forced thousands from their homes – but officials say they can’t find the cause. The South Coast Air Quality Management District received some 40 complaints Wednesday in the Porter Ranch area. Officials say their air sampling and inspectors at a nearby Southern California Gas Co. storage field haven’t found any source, and the utility says they haven’t found any leak."

Note: So no leaks found and no natural gas detected, so the rotten egg odor isn't coming from that facility and there's no natural gas blowing around. Well then, the rotten egg odor is likely hydrogen sulfide oozing from the ground, blowing in off the ocean (again), or emanating from the Salton Sea (again). What else could it be?

2016-04-13 - Huge 'hot blob' of water spotted in the ocean in the southern hemisphere, 5 times bigger than North American blob:

Quote: "What's going on in the South Pacific? The heat blob is so big that it now dwarves the El Niño. The SP hosts by far the largest sea surface anomaly on Earth, comprising 11 million km3 of sea surface that's about 30cm higher than normal (ocean heat). In addition, nearly the same area 'blob' is sporting +2.5C temperature anomalies. That's about 5 times the size of the 'hot blob' off the North American coast last year that spawned record forest fires through the northwest US and Canada."

2016-04-13 - Flowing spring catches fire in the middle of the desert on the border between Iran and Afghanistan:

Note: Well, two rivers have caught fire so far, in China and Australia, and a lake caught fire in India, and now here's a burning spring. With all the methane clathrates dissociating around the planet in the oceans, might we not see the oceans themselves catch fire at some point? That seems entirely possible...

2016-04-16 - Mysterious explosions shakes homes along the panhandle coast in Florida:

Note: People just saw 'something fall from the sky' and ignite a brush fire near coastal Hollywood (Florida) too, on the southern tip of Florida, mentioned in the 2016-04-15 update. Nothing was found though. That was very likely an atmospheric gas plume igniting above the ground then burning its way through the cloud of gas toward the ground, which is why nothing was found yet it looked like something was falling. Sometimes the gas plumes will explode too. Some of these 'mysterious explosions' in recent times have left a 'sulfur smell' behind. When that happens, there's likely some hydrogen sulfide in the gas plume. Otherwise, it's probably mostly or entirely methane...

Note: At least it didn't drive off with his tools! The most memorable example of a fiery self-starting vehicle was when an unoccupied boat burst into flame in the middle of the night, started itself, then tore across the harbor while burning, hitting other boats, in coastal Coffs Harbour (Australia), mentioned in the 2013-05-03 update...

Note: Obviously not JUST methane, else nobody would have smelled anything, since methane is odorless. 'Gas odor' means somebody smelled 'rotten egg' odor.
