Suffer The Children

Sometimes it is useful to look for patterns within a particular segment of society. In this case, I thought it might be worth looking at events concerning children, and yes, the patterns look clearer and more obvious this way, or at least they do to me. You can decide for yourself. Not every event results in injury, brain damage (hydrogen sulfide is a neuro-poison, among other things), or death; some are accidents, close calls. Still, looking at this list is sobering, and excruciatingly sad. Also, note how things are escalating, even over just two months or so. (Events listed in reverse-chronological order.)

I have highlighted buses because they are now a significant danger. Bus drivers sit right next to that door to the outside, which opens and shuts all day, constantly exposing the driver to outside air (and whatever's in that air). Bus drivers also drive around, frequently, with a window open right next to them as well. So, it makes sense that they are succumbing to the unconsciousness-producing - or lethal - effects of hydrogen sulfide early on in this extinction event. I will probably do a similar post just on buses later (which will be eye-opening with all the buses exploding into fire of late), but children are our future, so I focus on them first.

You see, I hope, why governments have kept this information from us. What is the first and foremost duty of any government? To protect its citizens from danger. But they can't protect us from this danger, though they are trying, and I'm sure the efforts are mind-boggling, beyond herculean. So, what happens when governments - all governments - are incapable of protecting the citizens? Well, that question had never come up before. Now we're discovering the answer...
