Event Update For 2021-08-09
http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html
The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.
A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Smoke and ash from Evia, a rugged island of forests and coves close to the Greek mainland, blocked out the sun and turned the sky orange. The fire, which began Aug. 3, is the most severe of hundreds in the past week across Greece, gobbling up pristine pine forests as well as homes and businesses and forcing hundreds to quickly evacuate by sea to save their lives."

MASS PSYCHOSIS - How an Entire Population Becomes MENTALLY ILL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09maaUaRT4M
In this video we are going to explore the most dangerous of all psychic epidemics, the mass psychosis. A mass psychosis is an epidemic of madness and it occurs when a large portion of a society loses touch with reality and descends into delusions. Such a phenomenon is not a thing of fiction. Two examples of mass psychoses are the American and European witch hunts 16th and 17th centuries and the rise of totalitarianism in the 20th century.
This video will aim to answer questions surrounding mass psychosis: What is it? How does is start? Has it happened before? Are we experiencing one right now? And if so, how can the stages of a mass psychosis be reversed? [more]
Oregon Suspends Need For High School Graduates To Be Proficient in Reading, Writing, and Math
https://www.cryptogon.com/?p=61964
Many of us have long objected to the chronic failure of public schools in major cities like New York, Detroit, Washington, D.C. and Baltimore to achieve bare proficiency for many students in reading, writing, and math. The response in many districts is for some to declare standardized testing or meritocracy as racist while other district eliminate special programs or schools for gifted students. Oregon has found a simpler approach. Gov. Kate Brown (D) just signed a bill last month that drops any proficiency requirement in reading, writing or math, before graduation. Problem solved. Virginia teacher resigns at school board meeting, denounces 'highly politicized agendas'
https://news.yahoo.com/virginia-teacher-resigns-school-board-030246065.html
A Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) teacher in Virginia resigned in front of the school board Tuesday, stating in a defiant and emotional speech that she refused to continue pushing their "highly politicized agendas."
"School board, I quit," she said. Choking up, she added: "I quit your policies, I quit your training, and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas to our most vulnerable constituents – children."
Morris' comments touched on a number of simmering controversies within one of the nation's wealthiest school districts. Most notably, the school district has been embroiled in a longstanding controversy over the use of critical race theory (CRT).
While the county has denied teaching the controversial ideology, its officials have acknowledged CRT influences their work.
She said that teachers were told to "disrupt and dismantle this systemic racism. And I can tell you, one thing that's for sure, it has been disruptive because there are parents who disagree with this ideology, there are teachers who disagree with it, there are students who disagree with it — and it is harmful."

Climate scientists warn of the collapse of the Gulf Stream, one of the planet’s main potential tipping points. In the winter of 1962-63 something incredible happened in the UK. The entire British Isles was suddenly plunged into an unexpected and unprepared mini-ice-age event which was dubbed “the year the gulf stream stopped.”
http://www.thebigwobble.org/2021/08/climate-scientists-have-detected.html
Climate scientists have detected warning signs of the collapse of the Gulf Stream, one of the planet’s main potential tipping points. The research found “an almost complete loss of stability over the last century” of the currents that researchers call the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC). The currents are already at their slowest point in at least 1,600 years, but the new analysis shows they may be nearing a shutdown.
Such an event would have catastrophic consequences around the world, severely disrupting the rains that billions of people depend on for food in India, South America, and West Africa; increasing storms and lowering temperatures in Europe; and pushing up the sea level in eastern North America. It would also further endanger the Amazon rainforest and Antarctic ice sheets.
The complexity of the AMOC system and uncertainty over levels of future global heating make it impossible to forecast the date of any collapse for now. It could be within a decade or two, or several centuries away. But the colossal impact it would have means it must never be allowed to happen, the scientists said. Could a collapse of cryptocurrencies force a reform of the global monetary system?
https://strangesounds.org/2021/08/collapse-cryptocurrencies-reform-global-monetary-system.html
A dollar from 1971, after five decades of inflation, would only be worth 15 cents today.
It’s time to replace our non-system with a new Bretton Woods. Bretton Woods was the result of a perfect storm: some big problems; a set of ideas that attracted a consensus; a group of prepared and capable participants; and a leader, namely the United States, that was prepared to lead.
Today, I don‘t see such a perfect storm on the horizon. Then again, a collapse of the rapidly expanding cryptocurrency ecosystem might just be enough to signal the coming of such a storm. [more]

Severe flooding hits Turkey's Black Sea region again, 3rd such event within 4 weeks
https://www.sott.net/article/456717-Severe-flooding-hits-Turkeys-Black-Sea-region-again-3rd-such-event-within-4-weeks
One month after floods and landslides killed six in Turkey's Black Sea region, heavy precipitation took hold in the region's central parts on Tuesday and Wednesday. A woman went missing in Bartın, one of the provinces hit worst by rainfall that triggered floods on Tuesday. Floods were also reported in Karabük and Kastamonu provinces.
In Bartın, floodwaters inundated a large number of houses and businesses, sweeping away vehicles after severe precipitation late on Tuesday. The heaviest damage was in Ulus district. Part of a road connecting the province to Karabük collapsed while bulldozers waded through floodwaters to save 20 people trapped in their houses.
"We rescued people stranded in their houses near river beds. Our crews also saved people trapped in their cars," he said. Güner said that an elderly woman went missing in Akören Söküler village after her wooden house had almost collapsed due to floods that carried her away. "There are many bridges, roads to villages and houses collapsed in the region," he lamented. The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced that 13 people were injured due to the collapse of a bridge on a road connecting Bartın and Karabük provinces.
A large number of residents stranded in places engulfed by floodwaters were evacuated by helicopters.
Authorities warned that the Black Sea region will be exposed to more rainfall on Wednesday. [more; 2 videos]

Rachel Carson’s Bittersweet Farewell to the World
https://getpocket.com/explore/item/rachel-carson-s-bittersweet-farewell-to-the-world-timeless-advice-to-the-next-generations-from-the
In June 1962, five days before the first installment of Silent Spring made its debut in The New Yorker, the terminally ill Carson summoned the remnants of her strength to take her very first cross-country jetliner flight and deliver a long-awaited commencement address at Scripps College in California
She told graduates:
Your generation must come to terms with the environment. You must face realities instead of taking refuge in ignorance and evasion of truth. Yours is a grave and sobering responsibility, but it is also a shining opportunity. You go out into a world where mankind is challenged, as it has never been challenged before, to prove its maturity and its mastery — not of nature, but of itself.
Therein lies our hope and our destiny. [more]
