Event Update For 2020-01-21

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

http://www.thebigwobble.org/2020/01/chinese-mystery-disease-update-no-4.html

Quote: "The death toll from the Wuhan coronavirus has risen to nine, as dozens more cases were reported across China and as far afield as the western United States sparking fears of a possible pandemic."

Quote: "Officials in Washington state confirmed the first case on US soil Tuesday. Cases have also been reported in South Korea, Thailand and Japan, and suspected cases detected in Australia."

Note: The Yahoo story is a little misleading. The current death rate is 2%. The Spanish flu death rate was 4-10%, so this current flu isn't as deadly as the Spanish flu. But a 2% death rate is still pretty high, and the sample size is still low, so that 2% could change, for better or worse. In 1918 there were far fewer people flying - and far fewer people period - yet 500 million people were still infected by the Spanish flu. So who knows how far this new virus could spread in the modern era if it spreads unchecked. It's certainly not under control now. And nothing says it won't mutate into a more virulent form either...

  2. Not Ready For Economic Collapse: Only 41 Percent Of Americans Have $1000 To Cover An Emergency
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/not-ready-for-economic-collapse-only-41-percent-of-americans-have-1000-to-cover-an-emergency

We better hope that the U.S. economy holds together in 2020, because if there is any sort of major economic crisis much of the country is going to be broke almost immediately. Today, close to half of all Americans are living on the edge financially. For many, it is out of necessity, but for others it is a conscious choice. Way too many people out there see no need to build up a substantial financial cushion because they have a tremendous amount of faith in the system. They don’t think that things will ever get too bad in this country, and so there is no urgency to put funds away for a rainy day. But even if authorities could somehow prevent an economic downturn from ever happening again, individual emergencies are taking place all around us on a constant basis. Cars break down, people get sick, and accidents happen. Unfortunately, most Americans are completely unprepared for some sort of an emergency to strike. In fact, a brand new survey has discovered that just 41 percent of Americans could cover a $1,000 emergency expense using their current savings…[more]

4 killed in plane crash at Southern California airport
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/plane-crash-leaves-4-dead-101001545.html

Four people were killed when a small plane crashed at the Corona Municipal Airport in California, authorities said Wednesday.

As the single-engine plane was taking off, the plane was unable to get airborne. The plane then crashed through a fence and hit a barrier to the east of the airport. The plane, carrying 80 gallons of fuel, then flipped over and caught on fire, causing a brush fire that officials later extinguished.

"He [the pilot] didn't pull back and he was too fast on the runways," pilot Dorothy Voll, who witnessed the crash, told CBS LA. "Then he flipped, and then everybody was running, and it started on fire, and then it had two explosions which probably were the fuel tanks."

Another pilot Walt Snyder, estimated the plane may have been traveling at 90 mph.

There was no immediate word on a cause or model of the plane.

THE REALITY: no government can stop the spread of coronvirus

    SOMEONE is serious about this.

Masks and airport checks for Chinese SARS-like virus are there to keep population calm – no government can stop its spread now
    http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2020/01/the-reality-no-government-can-stop.html

As the Chinese coronavirus spreads rapidly around the globe, governments worldwide are making a show of doing something. But are their measures effective, or just exercises in population control?

On Wednesday, the World Health Organization deliberated on whether to declare the disease an international public health emergency, postponing the decision for a lack of clear data.

Whatever decision is taken in the coming days will greatly affect the response of both the Chinese government and others in dealing with the outbreak of the 2019-nCoV virus that has already infected hundreds and killed nine.

But the course of the epidemic will not be decided by officials in conference rooms. [more]

The Iraqi Parliament has decided to ask for the immediate withdrawal of all foreign forces from the country for violating the terms of their presence. 5. Pentagon racks up $35 trillion in accounting trickery in a year - a total greater than the entire US economy
    https://www.sott.net/article/427841-Pentagon-racks-up-35-trillion-in-accounting-trickery-in-a-year-a-total-greater-than-the-entire-US-economy

The Pentagon made $35 trillion in accounting adjustments last year alone -- a total that's larger than the entire U.S. economy and underscores the Defense Department's continuing difficulty in balancing its books.

The latest estimate is up from $30.7 trillion in 2018 and $29 trillion in 2017, the first year adjustments were tracked in a concerted way, according to Pentagon figures and a lawmaker who's pursued the accounting morass.

The figure dwarfs the $738 billion of defense-related funding in the latest U.S. budget, a spending plan that includes the most expensive weapons systems in the world including the F-35 jet as well as new aircraft carriers, destroyers and submarines.

"Within that $30 trillion is a lot of double, triple, and quadruple counting of the same money as it got moved between accounts," said Todd Harrison, a Pentagon budget expert with the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

The Defense Department acknowledged that it failed its first-ever audit in 2018 and then again last year, when it reviewed $2.7 trillion in assets and $2.6 trillion in liabilities. While auditors found no evidence of fraud in the review of finances that Congress required, they flagged a laundry list of problems, including accounting adjustments. [more]

The head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said she couldn’t sleep after reading a landmark report into climate change and its effects last year.

Kristalina Georgieva said during a session at Davos on Thursday: “The big eye opener was when last year I read IPCC report. I tell you, I could not sleep that night.”

The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2018 published a landmark report warning that there are just 12 years left to limit planetary warming to 1.5 degrees this century. [yeah, and THAT'S a fuckin' lie too!]

The report, which took two years to compile, warned that warming above this threshold would severely increase the risk of droughts, floods, extreme heat, and poverty.

“All I could think of was my 8-year-old granddaughter,” Georgieva saiad. “What have we done? By the times she’s 20 there could be 100 million more poor people because of climate change. By the time she’s 40 there could be over 100 million climate refugees. If she lives to be 90 and the temperature is 3 to 4 degrees warmer, this planet will be barely liveable.”

On its face, his conduct and intent satisfy the elements of premeditated murder under Section 1116 of Title 18 of the United States Criminal Code, "Murder or manslaughter of foreign officials, official guests, or internationally protected persons." Boeing CEO expects to resume 737 MAX production before mid-year
    https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/boeing-ceo-says-expects-resume-183259285.html

Boeing Chief Executive Dave Calhoun told reporters on Wednesday the U.S. planemaker expects to resume 737 MAX production months before its forecasted mid-year return to service and said it did not plan to suspend or cut its dividend.

The company announced a production halt in December, when the global grounding of the fast-selling 737 MAX following two deadly crashes in five months looked set to last into mid-2020 -- a timeline pushed back after Boeing endorsed new simulator training for pilots.

Calhoun said the company is not considering scrapping the MAX and expects it will continue to fly for a generation. "I am all in on it and the company is all in on it," Calhoun said, adding Boeing will not launch a marketing campaign to get customers to get back on 737 MAX planes. [see 45 plate slideshow, link provided]

The Chang'e-4 lander and Yutu-2 rover have completed 13 lunar days on the moon. The solar-powered duo awaken between 24 and 48 hours after sunrise over the mission landing site and power down about 24 hours before sunset. Searing-hot lunar days and the brutally cold nights each last around 14 Earth days.

the rover and lander have now exceeded their design lifetimes of three months and one year and continue to operate with all science payloads in a healthy condition, according to the China National Space Administration. [more]

  9. 'Tapping for data'? Big Tech joins Big Bro to turn private health information into $38B 'public treasure'
    https://www.sott.net/article/427877-Tapping-for-data-Big-Tech-joins-Big-Bro-to-turn-private-health-information-into-38B-public-treasure

Big Tech is poised to rake in tens of billions of dollars from a new healthcare recordkeeping standard that scorns privacy for convenience, creating massive opportunities for extortion and other abuses by criminals and government.

"Wouldn't life be easier if you could view your full medical history with a few taps on your smartphone?" an upbeat piece touting Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) - a new data standard for healthcare patient data - asked, somewhat rhetorically, on Tuesday in Kaiser Health News. This oversimplified, no-downside spin on a truly ominous technology neglects to warn anyone who's ever used a health clinic that the medical details of their private life are about to get a lot more public, data-privacy laws be damned, and there will be no putting this particular genie back in the bottle.[more]

    https://strangesounds.org/2020/01/new-coronavirus-origin-china-wuhan-epidemics-2019-ncov.html

A new study suggests snakes may be the source of the new coronavirus causing an outbreak in China.
The new deadly virus may have ‘jumped’ to humans from snakes.

The new study analyzed the genetic sequence of the new virus, 2019-nCoV, and compared it with the genetic sequences of more than 200 other coronaviruses from around the world that infect various animals. Surprisingly, they found that the snakes are the most probable wildlife animal reservoir for this virus.
