Event Update For 2019-08-17

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Good morning Jonny, Fran, Mike D., Tom N., LL, Terry, FezzedOne, and Panther. Here we go again, another week on the way out. ['nother hot & humid one around here today]

i see we had a giant greenhouse fire in Canada (at a flower farm, yet) along with various vehicle fires and a home burned down. Jeez, what's Canada trying to do, upstage PA?

Lotta people becoming homeless due to fire, as per your lede story, and followed by the list of residential fires further down.

Planes are becoming less reliable as vehicles to get one to where they want to go and be alive upon arrival. The twin-engine [plane] that crashed into a home in NY was just one of many that happened the same day.

Let's take a look around to start off this week.

In The U.S., A Transportation Recession Has Already Officially Arrived
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/in-the-u-s-a-transportation-recession-has-already-officially-arrived

A transportation recession often precedes a recession for the entire economy, and while the debate about when the U.S. economy as a whole will plunge into a recession is quite vigorous right now, the truth is that the debate is over regarding when a transportation recession will begin. Throughout 2017 and most of 2018, U.S. freight shipment volume was booming, and that was a very strong sign that overall economic activity was rising. But when economic activity begins to decline, freight shipment volume often goes negative, and that is precisely what is happening right now. In fact, U.S. freight shipment volume has now declined on a year over year basis for eight months in a row… [more]

Florida's iconic palm trees threatened by invasive disease

Florida's iconic palm trees are under attack from a fatal disease that turns them to dried crisps in months, with no chance for recovery once they become ill.

Spread by a rice-sized, plant-hopping insect, lethal bronzing has gone from a small infestation on Florida's Gulf Coast to a nearly statewide problem in just over a decade. Tens of thousands of palm trees have died from the bacterial disease, and the pace of its spread is increasing, adding to environmental woes of a state already struggling to save its other arboreal icon, citrus trees, from two other diseases.

Corn Industry Battered By Shocking Ethanol Decision
Nothing is as shocking as the fact that corn ethanol is worthless as a fuel for powering industrial society. Any useful source of energy must be able to "pay its own way" plus have a considerable amount of energy left over to run the economy. Can ethanol power the farm machinery, trucks, and ethanol plants needed to produce it, and still have lots of energy left over to drive the economy? Of course not. Fossil fuels provide all that energy. If ethanol itself were used to provide the energy for its own production, the whole system would fall apart immediately. That shows not only the worthlessness of ethanol, but also the incredible power of fossil fuels, which "pay their own way" and still supply enough surplus energy to build a world-girdling civilization of unprecedented scale and complexity. So, why ethanol? My theory is that it's merely a way to shove piles of money around, which enables some people to make money and raises GDP. -- RF
