Event Update For 2015-03-17

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Let's hope that events involving large ice boulders don't become commonplace and regular because 200-pound chunks of ice would kill anyone they hit and they probably wouldn't be too kind to homes and vehicles either...

  1. Dang, Jonny - i'm reading this and my wife texts me that my granddaughter (8th gr) was in a bus going to school this morning and a pickup truck blew through a stop sign, hit the bus and forced it off the road. She hit her head on the bus window and is being taken to the hospital to check for possible concussion.

A preliminary, back of the napkin, calculation shows we're destroying over 150 tractor trailers a month so far this year!

i still marvel at how you get all this information and sift it through the JJFH to come up with these fascinating, real-life indications that humanity is on its way out. Thanks for your hard work and dedication (or is it dead-ication - a term formerly applied to the fans of an old band who's putting on a few last shows in Chicago later this year with a replacement front man) - it's appreciated!

  2. Hope your granddaughter is okay! That exact kind of accident, ya gotta wonder on those sometimes, because of the brake failure thing, and the 'medical problems' with drivers and stuff. Not saying this particular crash was too weird - just saying that I have to wonder about crashes like that one sometimes.

Hmmm, I might be pretty good at handling flying-manhole doom - I was grrrreat at dodgeball in school. Well, I was great at the dodging part, okay at the catching the ball part, but totally sucked at the throwing the ball and hitting other people part. Well, with flying-manhole doom, the dodging part is really the only part that matters!

  3. $22 million ten-bedroom waterfront mansion destroyed by fire in coastal East Hampton (NY):

  4. Here we go with the enormous insurance claims. Guy with a 200k house they nickle and dime him to death, this guy - blank check!

Dr. doesn't think she's got a concussion (whew). Hensil and Amish Rds, Gap PA reported by WGAL incl. pic. Totally pick-up driver's fault according to eyewitnesses. Don't know about truck driver's condition.
