Event Update For 2013-04-13

Summary of Hypothesis

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

Predictions

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Corpses In Low-Lying Areas

2013-04-13 - One worker killed and six injured by hydrogen sulfide at wastewater plant at the Port of Tampa (Florida):
http://www.abcactionnews.com/dpp/news/region_tampa/one-dead-after-hazmat-incident-at-port-of-tampa

Quote: "Officials say seven employees of Lanzo Lining, Inc. were cleaning the 96-inch pipes at the Howard F. Curren Advanced Wastewater treatment plant when hydrogen sulfide fumes appeared inside a sewer pipe. Two workers inside the pipe were overtaken by fumes. Two other workers went into the pipe to help their co-workers, when they too were overcome by fumes. The remaining workers attempted to render aid to the other four, but were also affected by the fumes."

Quote: "During the rescue, six Tampa Firefighters were also affected by the fumes. They were treated at TGH and released."

Note: This is a common scenario with hydrogen sulfide poisoning events, where some people succumb then others go to their aid and succumb too. In this case, 2 people succumbed, then 2 went to their aid and succumbed, then 3 more went to the aid of those four and they succumbed too, then responders showed up and six of THEM sickened too. This should serve as an indication of just how deadly hydrogen sulfide can be. In concentrations of 1 part per thousand it can be almost immediately lethal. That means your atmosphere can be 99.9% clean but if it's 0.1% hydrogen sulfide then one breath can kill you.

This event by itself should make clear why hydrogen sulfide - produced by ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea in biomatter-rich and warm anoxic environments like that found in the dead zones in the Gulf of Mexico and other areas of the Earth's waters - has been instrumental in Earth's extinction events. In the Permian-Triassic extinction event around 90% of all species went extinct (96% in the oceans, less on land). This is the enemy we face now, and even as we weaken with each passing day, our enemy is strengthening.

Prediction A - More Fires and Explosions, Especially Coastal

2013-04-13 - Massive pallet fire erupts at facility in Laveen (Arizona):
http://www.kpho.com/story/21971482/firefighters-battle-two-alarm-fire

Note: The last huge pallet fire was waaaay back in...last week, at an industrial site in Curtis Bay (Maryland), as mentioned in the 2013-04-09 update. There have been many pallet-related fires this past year or so. In part it is because wood is an absorbent flammable material and all such materials are absorbing hydrogen sulfide and/or methane and spontaneously combusting. But pallets are also frequently outside, fully exposed to the atmosphere. And they are also held together with nails and screws, which rust, and hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel, and can ignite just from that. So with all of those vulnerabilities, it is no surprise that pallets are going up in flames. The largest pallet fire that I know of, so far, was a tremendous inferno that consumed 100,000 pallets at a pallet company in Tippecanoe County (Indiana), as mentioned in the 2013-01-05 update. We'll be seeing a great many more pallet-related fires (and wood-related fires generally) as time goes on...

2013-04-13 - Explosion and fire devastates chemical factory in Wuhan (China), casualties undetermined:

Note: Wuhan lies at the intersection of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the Han River. Also, from the images, looks like several tanker trucks were destroyed too...

2013-04-13 - Wildfire breaks out in a canyon at the base of Fisher Point south of Flagstaff (Arizona):
http://azdailysun.com/news/local/p-m-update-wildfire-burns-acres-near-fisher-point/article_d4a67f68-a4aa-11e2-bbec-0019bb2963f4.html

Note: I mentioned some time ago that we're going to be seeing lots of fires along coasts, in valleys, canyons, near streams and lakes and rivers - basically anyplace that water might accumulate, hydrogen sulfide will also tend to accumulate because it's a heavier-than-air gas. We were already seeing that last year. With another year of atmospheric contamination under our belt, it will be worse this year. There may be some unusual fires too. For example, a fire broke out along the edge of Lake Woytchugga (Australia) and firefighters couldn't put it out, unextinguishable, as mentioned in the 2012-12-12 update...

2013-04-13 - Around 100 fires break out around Tegucigalpa (Honduras) in one week, airports closed four times this month:
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/04/13/smoke-from-nearby-forest-fires-forces-4-hour-closure-airport-for-honduras/

Quote: "Almost a hundred fires have burned in the pine-covered hills around the capital this week. Four such closures have affected Toncontin and two other airports in the space of a month."

2013-04-13 - Fire breaks out on new littoral combat ship Coronado in the Gulf of Mexico:
http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/apr/13/navy-coronado-fire/

http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/early-morning-fire-destroys-6-semi-trailers-1.1237175

Note: The record for most semis to burn in one fire still stands at 11, which were destroyed at a truck repair shop in New Windsor (New York), as mentioned in the 2013-03-21 update, a little over three weeks ago...

http://www.indianexpress.com/news/800-ashok-leyland-buses-taken-off-road-after-3-go-up-in-flames-in-3-months/1102107/

Quote: "...the Delhi government on Saturday decided to take off the roads at least 800 Ashok Leyland buses for a three-day inspection."

Note: A bunch of buses have burst into flame in coastal Perth (Australia) too. The drivers have threatened to strike there over the fires. The government there said they weren't going to take the buses off the road because people need the mass transit option, which I'm sure is true. So people will just have to get used to buses and other vehicles going up in flames. Tada, problem solved, Australian-style!

2013-04-13 - School bus bursts into flame while parked in bus garage in Stevens Point (Wisconsin):

2013-04-13 - Vehicle bursts into flame in Carbondale (Illinois), near Crab Orchard Lake:
http://thesouthern.com/news/local/vehicle-arson-investigated/article_57a5a6d4-a4c2-11e2-9fdb-001a4bcf887a.html

Quote: "Firefighters and officers were called to the scene at about 4:25 a.m. to find a vehicle engulfed in flames. Investigators determined the cause was arson."

Note: Seeing as the investigators probably have no idea that the atmosphere is filling up with methane and hydrogen sulfide, I'd need to see why they think this was arson. They didn't mention any witnesses seeing any people involved, and they didn't mention surveillance footage. They probably think it's arson because there's evidence of accelerants being involved. Well, hydrogen sulfide and methane ARE accelerants, so if the presence of accelerants is the only reason for their conclusion then their conclusion may be erroneous. Also, this occurred in the wee hours when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any hydrogen sulfide or methane in the air above closer to the ground...

2013-04-13 - Motorcycle bursts into flame while parked on street in Yeovil (Britain), fire spreads to nearby car:
http://www.thisissomerset.co.uk/Arson-suspected-destroys-car-motorbike-Yeovil/story-18695502-detail/story.html

Note: Arson? Well, this is Britain, so I'm sure they'll have some surveillance footage forthcoming. Until then, I'll remain skeptical, given all the other vehicles bursting into flame all over the world...

2013-04-13 - Van and trailer home destroyed by fire and explosions in Chouteau (Oklahoma), near Pryor Creek, 1 injured:

Quote: "Owners Tommy and Peggy Ridenhour say the only items in the room were sawdust and some wood pieces."

Note: Wood - and sawdust - are both flammable absorbent materials and all such materials are absorbing hydrogen sulfide and/or methane and spontaneously combusting. Such materials include wood, paper, cardboard, generic trash, straw, hay, clothing, cotton, wool, mulch, pallets, etc.

Prediction B - More Animal Die-Offs

2013-04-13 - Hundreds of sea birds found dead on beaches in Cornwall (Britain):
http://www.thisiscornwall.co.uk/Sea-birds-dead-Cornwall-beach/story-18702519-detail/story.html

Note: Carrier pigeons have been disappearing over the ocean between Britain and Scotland - the so-called 'Birdmuda Triangle', as mentioned in the 2012-08-29 update. Birds are flying into pockets of hydrogen sulfide and methane and dying. The incident with the birds plummeting from the sky two New Years Days in a row in Beebe (Arkansas) was for the same reason. They blamed that on fireworks, which is actually partially correct. The birds were startled by the fireworks and took flight...and flew into a cloud of gas, then fell to the ground dead. It was around the time of that first incident that a flock of birds dropped dead outside my home, and I smelled something strange then at the same time, though the smell faded rapidly. That was olfactory paralysis - you rapidly lose your ability to smell hydrogen sulfide in any significant concentration. That was the night I went from being 99% sure this extinction event was under way to being 100% sure. That was also in the wee hours, around 3 AM, when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any hydrogen sulfide or methane floating above closer to the ground. I think I'm lucky to have survived that night...

Prediction D - More Corpses In Low-Lying Areas

2013-04-13 - Man goes fishing, goes missing, next seen dead in Utah Lake near Lindon boat harbor (Utah):
http://www.heraldextra.com/news/local/body-found-near-lindon-boat-harbor/article_85c5f4b9-e50d-511b-80af-a6df2649c1d3.html
http://www.ksl.com/?sid=24783122&nid=148

Quote: "Huynh, an avid fisherman, mysteriously disappeared March 30. He left his home in West Valley City to go fishing on Utah Lake as he did frequently. About 5:30 p.m. that day, his empty 18-foot boat was found drifting in shallow water in some reeds near the Lindon Boat Harbor, with the key turned on and the boat's engine set at half throttle."

Note: So they found his empty 'ghost boat' first, then later the corpse, as usual. When a cloud of poisonous hydrogen sulfide hits you on a boat and you start dying, possibly vomiting and going blind, what are you going to do? You're going to flee, which means into the water, since there's nowhere else to go. But it's apt to be stronger near the water, being a heavier-than-air gas, so then you lose consciousness if you're still alive. And then you drown, because breathing is an involuntary reflex (else you'd die when you sleep). And then someone notices the empty boat, a search begins, and a corpse is eventually found. I've been watching this happening - and pointing it out - over and over and over this past year. Sometimes they even find the boat going by itself in circles on the water...

2013-04-13 - Man, 29, found dead partially in kayak in the Gulf of Mexico near Johnson Beach, near Perdido Key (Florida):
http://www.weartv.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/body-found-perdido-key-30876.shtml
http://www.pnj.com/article/20130414/NEWS01/304140030/Man-found-dead-in-Perdido-Key-waters

Quote: "Investigators think Hall was fishing when he died."

Quote: "...a man had been found floating in about a foot of water with one leg in a kayak..."

Note: Lotsa fishermen dying. That's because hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in the same places that water does, e.g. low-lying areas. Like the dead fisherman mentioned in the event above this one, this man may have been trying to flee from poison gas, and simply didn't make it all of the way out of the boat, probably slumped unconscious with his head in the water and breathed water until dead...

Quote: "The heat from the car fire was so intense, the car melted into the asphalt. Its red paint was reduced to white aluminum and steel."

Note: I call this the 'standard model' for crashes these days: vehicle veers off road, hits tree, bursts into flame. This was right on the California coast, and California (and all of the West Coast) is downwind of the giant dead zone known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which is surely pluming hydrogen sulfide now...

Note: That's what I've said would be happening, and it is: people sickening, falling unconscious or dying while driving, then crashing. But this particular story doesn't end there. A fire truck responded to that initial crash and on the way it was hit head-on by a car, killing one person in that car and injuring 2 more...

2013-04-13 - HazMat event at Buy Buy Baby store in Ft. Worth (Texas), 16 people sickened, cause unknown:
http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/site/?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=BH-20130414-38842-USA

Quote: "The patients reported feeling dizzy, headaches and vomiting."

Quote: "A fire department spokesman said carbon monoxide had been ruled out as the cause of the illnesses."

Note: Baby clothes? Bedding? When did they get their last shipment, and where was it from? Clothes and bedding are absorbent materials and will absorb hydrogen sulfide, which can produce all of those symptoms. Also, Ft. Worth is right next to Lake Worth and also isn't that far from the Gulf of Mexico. I'd suspect contamination of clothes or bedding mainly because nobody was affected in nearby stores, but it's possible a smallish hydrogen sulfide plume blew by and got sucked into the store's AC system too. And there may be no smell. As all of the safety documents I have linked to say, DO NOT count on smelling hydrogen sulfide except at very LOW concentrations (when it may smell like 'rotten eggs', which also happens to be what mercaptan smells like, which is what they add to natural gas, so it may be mistaken for a 'natural gas leak' sometimes too)...

2013-04-13 - One person killed, 5 sickened, by 'mystery disease' outside Hamburg (Germany):
http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/site/?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=EH-20130411-38819-DEU

Quote: "All are suffering from flu-like symptoms but the doctors do not know what disease is affecting them."

Note: 'Flu-like' symptoms can be caused by hydrogen sulfide. Look at the event above this one: dizziness, headaches, vomiting - those are 'flu-like' symptoms. These folks in Hamburg also had lung problems - e.g. pneumonia. Hydrogen sulfide can cause chemical damage to lungs too, even foaming at the mouth in some cases, though that particular symptom wasn't present here.

Quote: "...the 2 policemen did not work in the same agency, were not on duty together, do not live in the same place. There is no visible connection, but naturally we are working together to try to find out what has happened."

Quote: "Despite the efforts of the specialists involved we have not been able to identify a pathogen."

Note: No VISIBLE connection. They are overlooking the obvious: the atmosphere itself, which is filling up with hydrogen sulfide which can cause all of those symptoms. That's probably why they have been unable to identify a pathogen: there may BE no pathogen, but rather a gas, and they AREN'T looking for THAT...

2013-04-13 - Two-headed pig born in Jiujiang (China):
http://news.sky.com/story/1077800/two-headed-pig-born-in-chinese-village

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is eating away our ozone layer. This makes the UV from the Sun more fierce and makes the Sun look whiter, not as yellow as it once looked, and UV damages DNA and RNA, so the consequence is a rising number of genetic defects like polycephaly (two-headedness), albinism and so on. If you were to find every incident of polycephaly and albinism in the last 10 years I am absolutely certain that you would see a rise in such events with each year that passes. Eventually the UV radiation to which the surface of the Earth is exposed will ultimately be lethal. We'll probably be dead from fires, explosions and poison gas by then - at least anyone living on the surface of the Earth -  so there's probably not much point in worrying about the UV. But it's still interesting to see the mutation incidents as DNA and RNA are damaged and fragmented...

2013-04-13 - Woman begins having seizures every 15 minutes on boat in the Gulf of Mexico off Key West (Florida):
http://www.local10.com/news/Coast-Guard-medically-evacuates-boater-suffering-from-seizures/-/1717324/19741466/-/9057m3/-/index.html

Quote: "Watch-standers said they received a report at 4:18 p.m. from the motor vessel, Pleiades, of a woman aboard experiencing seizures every 15 minutes."

Note: Lots of mysterious deaths along Florida's Gulf Coast recently too. Hydrogen sulfide is neurotoxic and can damage the brain, which can result in seizures. This area is downwind of the dead zones in the Gulf of Mexico, which are surely pluming hydrogen sulfide now. This woman may have sustained long-term damage to her brain and possibly other organs as well, as hydrogen sulfide is a broad-spectrum poison which can affect all systems of the body. This area is also not far from the original face-eater, who went from normal church-going guy to ravening cannibal incapable of speech after walking across a causeway over water on the coast in Florida. That's another possible effect of hydrogen sulfide's neurotoxicity: brain damage resulting in insane savagery. And the fact that he couldn't speak was a clue that the speech center of his brain had been damaged as he walked across that causeway...

  1. Not too long ago you reported on another death of a worker who died from H2S poisoning while cleaning a wastewater tank. This was the incident where the worker got locked inside the tank when it went into lock-down mode. It was earlier this year or late last year.
How often does this happen with this type of job?
How many of these wastewater tank cleaners die per year?

    1. I have no idea how common it is, nor do I know where such stats might be kept, or even if anyone bothers to keep track at all. It IS an occupational hazard for septic workers, but when there's chance of exposure they are supposed to use respirators and H2S detectors, so I doubt it's a common occurrence. Apparently someone decided there was no risk of exposure for this job, so they weren't equipped for it.
