http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html
Summary of Hypothesis:
The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.
Predictions:
A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species, including sea mammals.
C. More and more MULTIPLES of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.
Recent Events Matching Predictions:
A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.

http://www.chicoer.com/news/ci_21851231/two-badly-burned-bodies-found-chicos-bidwell-park
Quote: "... firefighters responded to the scene for reports of a small explosion and fire."
Quote: "...residents living near the park reported hearing popping noises in the park."
Quote: "'Unless something comes up in our processing, it looks like some horrible accident,' said Lt. Mike O'Brien of Chico police. The man and woman were burned almost beyond recognition, O'Brien said."
Note: There's those popping sounds again. That's flammable gas plumes igniting/exploding. These folks were apparently transients, may have tried to start a fire to cook with, or maybe one of them lit a cigarette. If you light a flame while a hydrogen sulfide and/or methane plume is blowing by, you get this result. Horseshoe Lake is right there in Bidwell Park...
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.

Note: I believe they mean the average temperature. That's probably what is in our future, and soon-ish, not in decades. If the average temperature hits, say, 110 in the Midwest, then that'd likely mean 70 degrees average in the winter and 150 degrees average in the summer. That'd be basically unsurvivable, even if the atmosphere wasn't totally poisoned and fires and explosions weren't destroying everything...
