Methane has the capability of super-heating the planet, and it's coming out in unsustainable levels now in the Arctic, and in various places around the world. Most of it has been frozen and buried for 100,000's of thousands of years, and now it's releasing at a staggering rate because of our warming planet and #climatechange.
http://robinwestenra.blogspot.co.nz/2015/11/methane-emissions.html

[see also, directly below that one, these]

Methane emissions 2512 ppb - November 16, 2015

[and]

A climate update from Paul Beckwith
Beckwith is Back - Abrupt Climate System Update
http://robinwestenra.blogspot.co.nz/2015/11/a-climate-update-from-paul-beckwith.html

Methane hydrates in Siberia
I have to ask myself if the Siberian Times is the only part of the Russian media that is not mired in cliamte change denial
Leaking pingos 'can explode under the sea in the Arctic, as well as on and'
Warning of methane blasts in Kara Sea adjacent to Yamal craters caused by gas eruptions associated with melting permafrost due to global warming
http://robinwestenra.blogspot.co.nz/2015/11/methane-hydrates-in-siberia.html

[so if we think it's bad now, just wait a little while, it's gonna get way worse]

[finally on this page, see this one]
Methane feeds subsea ice mounds off Siberia
Quiet explosions beneath the Arctic shallow seas

Tom

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4388504906915444063.post-18875502735297866232015-11-20T07:29:22.439-06:002015-11-20T07:29:22.439-06:00i knew you'd like that pi article. The "...i knew you'd like that pi article. The "transcendental" numbers (like pi and e, the base of the natural logs, and many more like phi) are absolutely fascinating to some of us.

Wow, today's post is, once again, stunning in that it indicates not only the continuation of what we've been seeing for the past bunch of years, but also how it's (as it does more and more often along the way) ramping up.

The transformer fire and underground vault explosion in Santa Barbara shows this, but it's repeated in Canada and Australia with burning electrical infrastructure there, causing thousands of people to lose power.
