The financial bubbles that the Federal Reserve has created have been a great blessing for those at the very top of the economic pyramid, but most of the country is still deeply struggling. According to one survey, 78 percent of all full-time workers in the U.S. live paycheck to paycheck, and that doesn’t even include part-time workers or those that are unemployed. We have also been told that unemployment is “low”, but the real numbers tell us that there are more working age Americans without a job in 2018 than there was at any point during the last recession. The 1990 UN Advisory Group on Greenhouse Gases discussed the 1 degree C limit and the likelihood for nonlinear responses and feedback loops to kick in once such a value was routinely reached. While obviously scientists raised the bar to 2 C then began to emphasize increasingly 1.5 C to the emphasize the needs of island and subtropical nations' concerns with regards to sea level rise and agriculture, the IPCC has acknowledged that the Earth has warmed by about 1 degree C since the mid-19th century (which is used to approximate pre-industrial temperatures).

--The mitigation efforts of the IPCC continue to be based purely on human emissions and simply neglect too many things which a) are more difficult to model but b) will likely severely detriment carbon "budgets"...the amount of carbon still considered for humans to burn into the atmosphere to keep temperatures at or below a certain temperature threshold.

Geoengineering is inevitable… To fight climate changes
http://strangesounds.org/2018/10/geoengineering-is-inevitable-to-fight-climate-changes.html

Here’s what’s going to happen: Every year for the foreseeable future, scientists, activists, and citizens concerned about climate change will have a discussion in one form or another about geoengineering. There will be editorials and vague proposals in journals; there will be think pieces on the need not to do it, but to talk about it. These will increase in volume and urgency as our situation becomes ever clearer, perhaps starting right now, with the release of the latest and most dire Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. The nearly 19-mile-long (30 kilometers) rift started in the middle of the ice shelf, where the ice shelf touches warmer ocean waters that are melting it from underneath. The rift only has about another 6 miles (10 km) to go before one or more icebergs calf, breaking off from the glacier, Lhermitte said. Another such event happened a mere year ago in 2017, when an iceberg 4.5 times the size of Manhattan broke off Pine Island Glacier.
