Event Update For 2020-08-09

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Good morning Jonny, everyone. i trust we're all doing as best we can. The gases are blowing around at ever-increasing concentrations. We're still working off the CO2 that was dumped into the atmosphere 10 years ago (and adding to it daily), so we can't expect any significant cooling, especially with regard to the Arctic situation.

How the pandemic might play out in 2021 and beyond

This coronavirus is here for the long haul — here’s what scientists predict for the next months and years.

Around the world, epidemiologists are constructing short- and long-term projections as a way to prepare for, and potentially mitigate, the spread and impact of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Although their forecasts and timelines vary, modellers agree on two things: COVID-19 is here to stay, and the future depends on a lot of unknowns, including whether people develop lasting immunity to the virus, whether seasonality affects its spread, and — perhaps most importantly — the choices made by governments and individuals. “A lot of places are unlocking, and a lot of places aren’t. We don’t really yet know what’s going to happen,” says Rosalind Eggo, an infectious-disease modeller at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). [more]

This Global Depression Will Be Brutal – Tens Of Millions Of Americans Can’t Pay Their Bills And Are In Danger Of Eviction
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/this-global-depression-will-be-brutal-tens-of-millions-of-americans-already-cant-pay-their-bills-and-are-in-danger-of-eviction

Most of us have never experienced anything like this in our entire lifetimes. Fear of COVID-19, endless civil unrest in major U.S. cities and a whole host of other factors have combined to plunge us into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression of the 1930s. On Friday, the Labor Department announced that the unemployment rate in the U.S. fell to just 10.2 percent last month, and if that number was actually accurate that would be pretty good news. Unfortunately, it simply does not square with all of the other numbers that we have been seeing. According to John Williams of shadowstats.com, if honest numbers were being used the unemployment rate would actually be 30 percent right now, and I believe that figure is much closer to the reality that we are facing. In February, 152 million Americans were working, and since that time more than 55 million have filed new claims for unemployment benefits. Unless tens of millions of those people have been filing fraudulent claims, there is no way in the world that the unemployment rate should be about 10 percent right now.

we are being told that in South Carolina a whopping 52 percent of all renters “are at risk of eviction”… [more]

Climate change: Warming world will be 'devastating' for frozen peatlands
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/climate-change-warming-world-devastating-191003905.html

The world's peatlands will become a large source of greenhouse gases as temperatures rise this century, say scientists.

Right now, huge amounts of carbon are stored in boggy, often frozen regions stretching across northern parts of the world.

But much of the permanently frozen land will thaw this century, say experts.

This will release warming gases at a rate that could be 30-50% greater than previous estimates. [more; MUCH higher!]

Energy companies have begun taking back millions of barrels of oil from the U.S. government's emergency stockpile after renting storage in the facility to help manage a glut of crude this spring after energy demand collapsed during COVID-19 lockdowns, a Department of Energy website showed on Monday.

1794 silver dollar worth $10M for sale by New Jersey dealer: 'This coin is the Holy Grail'
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/1794-silver-dollar-worth-10m-103639576.html

A rare 1794 U.S. silver dollar, believed to be the first silver dollar minted by a newborn United States, is going up for sale by a New Jersey coin dealer.

"This coin is the Holy Grail of all dollars," said Laura Sperber, president of Legend Numismatics in Middletown's Lincroft section. The sale, by Legend Auctions, will be Oct. 8 at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and online.

Bruce Morelan, a Las Vegas collector, purchased the coin, nicknamed the "Flowing Hair Silver Dollar," in 2013 for $10 million, the most ever paid for a rare coin. It features Lady Liberty ringed with stars on one side and an eagle on the other.

“Of the 1,758 silver dollars the Mint delivered in October 1794, perhaps less than 130 are known to still survive, and this particular coin is the finest known,” said Brett Charville, president of Professional Coin Grading Service, a rare-coin authentication company, in a statement.

"It is believed to the very first one struck," Sperber said. It is "extremely significant." [more]

Fresh US threats to German port over Russian gas pipeline spark anger in Berlin
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/germany-us-threats-russian-gas-pipeline-nordstream-2-baltic-sea-angela-merkel-101617440.html

Relations between Berlin and Washington soured further this week over the latest US threats against a German port involved in the nearly-finished Nord Stream 2 pipeline bringing Russian gas to Germany.

Republican senators Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, and Ron Johnson had sent a threatening letter last week to Fährhafen Sassnitz, the company that operates the port of Mukran on the island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea.

The senators accused the port company of “knowingly providing significant goods, services, and support" for Russian and German pipeline-construction vessels near the German coast, and ordered it to cease its activities supporting the pipeline, threatening it with "crushing legal and economic sanctions.” [more; they say "Go fuck yourself!" in German]

  8. Top California health official resigns amid revelation of giant coronavirus record backlog
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/californias-top-public-health-officer-224522860.html

[rigged, padded, meaningless, stupid, "accounting tricks"]

California’s public health chief resigned late Sunday, days after officials revealed a backlog of hundreds of thousands of coronavirus records that Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday were never reported to his administration.

last week, California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly disclosed that as many 300,000 records hadn’t been processed, leaving county health officials without data on the virus’ transmission.

The revelations came as Newsom said that coronavirus cases in the state appeared to be trending down. California, the most populous state in the country, topped New York last month with the highest number of reported cases in the United States.

Ghaly attributed the problem to a computer server outage late last month and a failure to renew a certificate for Quest Diagnostics, a commercial lab that tests for coronavirus. He said that Newsom had a ordered a full investigation into the incident. [more; it's PAST records - nobody cays misteh!]

Air pollution could be [!?] making honey bees sick – new study
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/air-pollution-could-making-honey-190341713.html
Whether it’s exhaust fumes from cars or smoke from power plants, air pollution is an often invisible threat that is a leading cause of death worldwide. Breathing air laced with heavy metals, nitrogen oxides and fine particulate matter has been linked to a range of chronic health conditions, including lung problems, heart disease, stroke and cancer.

If air pollution can harm human health in so many different ways, it makes sense that other animals suffer from it too. Airborne pollutants affect all kinds of life, even insects. In highly polluted areas of Serbia, for instance, researchers found pollutants lingering on the bodies of European honeybees. Car exhaust fumes are known to interrupt the scent cues that attract and guide bees towards flowers, while also interfering with their ability to remember scents.

Now, a new study from India has revealed how air pollution may be depleting the health of honey bees in the wild. These effects may not kill bees outright. But like humans repeatedly going to work under heavy stress or while feeling unwell, the researchers found that air pollution made bees sluggish in their daily activities and could be shortening their lives.

Geologists confirm strange 'boomerang' earthquake deep beneath Atlantic Ocean
    https://www.sott.net/article/439594-Geologists-confirm-strange-boomerang-earthquake-deep-beneath-Atlantic-Ocean

In a new study, scientists have found evidence of an unusual and virtually unprecedented 'boomerang' earthquake that shook the deep seabed underneath the Atlantic Ocean in 2016.

This earthquake - termed a "back-propagating supershear rupture" - took place along the Romanche fracture zone, which lies near the equator, roughly mid-way between the east coast of Brazil and the west coast of Africa.

The fracture zone, a fault running for about 900 kilometres between the South American and African tectonic plates - adjacent to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge - produced a 7.1 magnitude earthquake in August 2016, which was detected by undersea seismometers in the region, as well as by distant monitoring stations.

Analysis of the signals reveals this was no ordinary quake, but a strange temblor that went one way, before turning around and coming back for more - and with a significant increase in speed, no less. [more]

    https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/national-international/wegmans-recalls-oranges-lemons-some-prepared-foods-for-listeria-concerns/2497880/

A lengthy recall was issued by Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. due to possible listeria contamination in lemons and oranges sold at the popular supermarket.

Wegmans bulk lemons, 2-lb. bag of lemons and 4-lb. bag of Valencia oranges under recall were sold between July 31 and Aug. 7, the supermarket chain said.

The lemons and oranges at the center of the recall were sourced from a North Carolina facility and sold in stores in Brooklyn and Harrison, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina. The recall was issued after the produce facility detected the organism on a piece of equipment.

In addition to the fruit, the recall alert includes dozens of prepared food items containing fresh lemon juice or lemon garnish. Find the full list of items and dates here. [more]

Uptick in Sea Lice Leads to Itchy Situation at Jersey Shore Beaches
    https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/uptick-in-sea-lice-leads-to-itchy-situation-at-jersey-shore-beaches/2497590/

Since the beginning of August, there have been several complaints from beachgoers about sea lice, according to Avalon Beach Patrol Lieutenant Ryan Black.

The irritation or rash is normally mild but in some severe cases it can lead to big welts that require medical attention.
While sea lice are normally found in places with warmer water like Florida, Tropical Storm Isaias may have played a role in the increase of reports of them at the Jersey Shore, according to experts.

“They’re getting stung and they’re talking to the lifeguards and saying what can be done about it but there’s nothing we can do,” Lt. Black said. [more; ~ 2 min. video]

BREAKING: Antifa terrorists in Austin, Portland just received a large cache of
weapons in preparation for coordinated multi-city “TET offensive” against America
    https://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2020/08/antifa-terrorist-groups-in-austin-have.html. [Natural News]

We’ve just learned that Antifa terrorist groups in Austin, Texas and Portland, Oregon have received a large cache of weapons that are being handed to them in preparation for a coordinated, multi-city uprising. Dubbed the “TET Offensive” by Dave Hodges (The Commonsense Show), this planned multi-city attack looks likely to take place before the coming election, as anti-American forces now realize Joe Biden cannot win. So their new goal is to unleash so much chaos across America that elections must be suspended, allowing the Marxist media to roll out its “Trump is a dictator” narrative.

Just last week, Infowars acquired a leaked Austin Police Department memo that described Antifa’s plan of placing snipers on rooftops around the city of Austin, then opening fire on police officers and innocent civilians. Antifa terrorists were also, according to the leaked memo, planning on burning down the Austin PD headquarters building, most likely with police officers trapped inside (this has become a favorite tactic of Antifa terrorists in Portland).
