Event Update For 2020-08-02

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Hey Jonny, everyone. It's been raining steadily (more or less) since about 3 a.m., but the weather people say the tropical storm (downgraded from hurricane overnight) is picking up speed and should be outta here by 5 p.m. So far no high winds to contend with.

We're getting close to the blue-ocean event in the Arctic. According to McPherson, Beckwith and others, when we get to that point we'll be seeing much higher temperatures in the northern hemisphere relatively shortly thereafter (within days or weeks).

This reports that the landslide was spotted from satellite imagery – if so that was a very shrewd piece of detective work. https://www.sott.net/article/439205-Worlds-first-commercial-long-range-wireless-power-transmission-trialed-in-New-Zealand

everyone's favorite electrical genius Nikola Tesla once proved he could power light bulbs from more than two miles away with a 140-foot Tesla coil in the 1890s - never mind that in doing so he burned out the dynamo at the local powerplant and plunged the entire town of Colorado Springs into blackout.

Tesla's dream was to place enormous towers all over the world that could transmit power wirelessly to any point on the globe, powering homes, businesses, industries and even giant electric ships on the ocean. Investor J.P. Morgan famously killed the idea with a single question: "where can I put the meter?" [yep, fuckin' greed-bag asshole J.P. Morgan ruins it]

It has taken 120 years, but New Zealand company Emrod appears to have finally convinced a major power distributor to have a crack at going wireless in a commercial capacity. Powerco, the second-biggest distributor in New Zealand, is investing in Emrod, whose technology appears to be able to shift large amounts of electricity much more efficiently, between any two points that can be joined with line-of-sight relays. A teenager who went missing for over a week in Washington state was found alive Saturday in the heavily wooded Cascade Mountains, authorities said.

Fuda was last seen on July 24, when she left her home in Maple Vally, Wash., without telling her family where she was going.

Her 2008 Toyota Corolla was found west of Stevens Pass by a state transportation worker.

Detectives said Fuda stopped at a coffee shop before running out of gas. Personal items were found inside the vehicle, but her phone was powered off.

Fuda was found two miles up a "very steep" ravine embankment along a creek, authorities said.

Medics treated her on the scene and she was transported to an area hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Fuda had no food with her, but drank water from a creek, according to Abbott.

Officials have not yet said why Fuda ended up in the woods. Abbott said she "was not very coherent" at the time of the rescue and couldn't explain what transpired over the past week. [more]

Massive explosion in Beirut leads to hundreds of casualties, according to the Lebanese Red Cross
    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/massive-explosion-shakes-lebanons-capital-beirut-2020-08-04?siteid=yhoof2

The cause of the blast was not immediately known

A massive explosion rocked downtown Beirut on Tuesday, flattening much of the port, damaging buildings and blowing out windows and doors as a giant mushroom cloud rose above the capital.

Lebanese Red Cross official Georges Kettaneh said there were dead and wounded, but did not have an exact figure, just saying there were hundreds of casualties.

A civil defense official on the scene of the blast said his men had evacuated dozens to hospitals and that there were still bodies inside the port, many of them under debris.

It was stunning even for a city that has been shaken by civil war, suicide bombings and bombardment by Israel.

Video taken by residents showed a fire raging at the port, sending up a giant column of smoke, illuminated by flashes of what appear to be fireworks. Local TV stations reported that a fireworks warehouse was involved.

The fire then appeared to catch at a nearby building, triggering a more massive explosion, sending up a mushroom cloud and a shock wave over the city.

“It was like a nuclear explosion,” said Walid Abdo, a 43-year-old school teacher in the neighborhood of Gemayzeh near Beirut. [more]

Sudden oak death has reached epidemic proportions on U.S. West Coast
    https://www.sott.net/article/439253-Sudden-oak-death-has-reached-epidemic-proportions-on-US-West-Coast

Nearly half of forest ecosystems around the world face "stand-replacing disturbances" — hazards that threaten to kill all of the trees in a localized region, such as fires, extreme weather, and disease. The spread of nonnative insects and pathogens has also reshaped North American forests, and today, a disease outbreak is sweeping along the U.S. West Coast.

Sudden oak death, caused by the plant pathogen Phytophthora ramorum, has reached epidemic proportions in California and Oregon since it first arrived in the San Francisco Bay area in about 1990. But the regional extent of both the disease and related tree mortality is not clear, hampering forest managers' responses to the epidemic and to other threats, as die-offs can increase fuel loads and fire severity, reduce forest productivity, and convert forests from carbon sinks into carbon sources. Firefighters in Delaware needed to rescue eight bystanders from rushing flood waters of Tropical Storm Isaias Tuesday after they were trapped trying to save a man in his car.

Our partners at WDEL report that an elderly man was in his car on a grass median near the Lantana Square Shopping Center in Hockessin. As waters from incredibly heavy rains rushed through a drainage culvert on the grass, the car, already taking on floodwater, began to get sucked into the drain.

Bystanders tried to help the man out of his car, but the force of rushing water sucked three of them through the drainage culvert and spat them out the other side.

The suction stopped when the car was sucked into the drain and plugged it. That also stopped the flooding in the parking lot.

Firefighters rescued a total of eight people from the parking lot and several more were evacuated from two business that were surrounded by floodwaters.

About 100 miles away and an hour later in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the roof of Children's Village day care center flew off.
