Event Update For 2018-06-06

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

At Guatemala volcano, search halted as death toll hits 109
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/at-guatemala-volcano-search-halted-as-death-toll-hits-109/ar-AAyhc8S

Rescuers suspended search and recovery efforts Thursday at villages devastated by the eruption of Guatemala's Volcano of Fire, leaving people with missing loved ones distraught and prompting some to do the risky work themselves with rudimentary tools.

Conred, the national disaster agency, said climatic conditions and still-hot volcanic material were making it dangerous for rescuers, and it was also taking into account the fact that 72 hours had passed since Sunday's eruption.

Oscar Chavez trekked over a mountain with his father and younger brother to search for his brother Edgar, sister-in-law Sandra and 4-year-old nephew Josue in the hamlet of San Miguel Los Lotes, which was almost entirely wiped out by the volcanic flows. They have not been heard from since the eruption.

"We looked for them in shelters, hospitals, everywhere, but we did not find them," said Chavez, 34, wiping a tear from his eye as the others used sticks and bits of broken boards to dig at the collapsed, ash-filled home. "So, better for us to come here."

Chavez's younger brother was angry that there were no longer any disaster workers at the scene while a little way downhill heavy machinery was being used to clear a road blocked by ash. And he directed his ire at President Jimmy Morales.
"They are cleaning the highway — the president has commitments to businesspeople. ... But here, since the people have nothing to offer him, he leaves this part as a burial ground," said Francisco Chavez, a 29-year-old accounting student. [more]

  3. Washington's lack of diplomacy is isolating them from the rest of the world
    https://www.sott.net/article/387590-Washingtons-lack-of-diplomacy-is-isolating-them-from-the-rest-of-the-world

Sanctions are an assertion of hegemony of one country over another. They are an assertion that the imposer of sanctions has extra-legal international authority to tell other sovereign states what to do or to suffer consequences if they do not.

Once the constraint on Washington's unilateralism was removed, sanctions became an instrument of US foreign policy and replaced diplomacy. The Clinton regime used them on Iraq. When the UN reported that the effect of the Clinton regime's sanctions on Iraq was the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children, Clinton's Jewish Secretary of State was asked by Lesley Stahl on the national TV program "60 Minutes" if the sanctions were worth the deaths of a half million children. Madeliene Albright said yes, "the price is worth it." The Jews feel the same way about the Palestinians. As the Palestinians' country has been stolen by Israel, what is the point of Palestinians? Killing them is Israel's answer. As one Israeli minister said, we are only doing what the Americans did to the native Americans known as Indians. As America shares this crime with Israel, little wonder that Washington always vetoes any UN action against Israel for its crimes against the Palestinians. The two criminal states stand united against the world.

Any time a country doesn't follow Washington's orders, Washington imposes sanctions. Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Venezuela are all bearers of Washington's sanctions. Moreover, Washington forces other countries, including its European allies, to also impose sanctions or Washington will sanction them as well. [more]

Flooding from high tides has doubled in the US in just 30 years, report says
    https://www.sott.net/article/387584-Flooding-from-high-tides-has-doubled-in-the-US-in-just-30-years-report-says

The 2017 State of U.S. High Tide Flooding and 2018 Outlook found more than one-fourth of coastal locations studied broke records for the most high-tide flooding days ever recorded during the 2017 meteorological year - May 2017 through April 2018. On average, the 98 coastal areas studied by NOAA reported coastal "sunny day" flooding in six days during the meteorological year, meaning the weather was hardly the driving factor behind these inundations.

"As relative sea level increases, it no longer takes a strong storm or a hurricane to cause coastal high tide flooding," said a NOAA release. "High tide flooding causes frequent road closures, overwhelmed storm drains and compromised infrastructure."
Along the Southeast's Atlantic coast, the rate at which these sunny-day floods have increased is even more blistering. NOAA's report found high-tide flooding in this part of the U.S. has increased 150 percent since 2000 alone.

The NOAA report also projected high-tide flooding in 2018 to be 60 percent worse than normal rates from two decades ago; the report blames sea level rise as a long-term factor and a possible El Niño later this year as a short-term influence. [more]

President Donald Trump visited the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Wednesday, just over a week after a new Harvard study estimated more than 4,600 people in Puerto Rico died in Hurricane Maria and its aftermath.
But even as he was briefed on the upcoming hurricane season, the President remained mum on the new estimate, which dwarfs the government's official 64-person death toll. Instead, the President praised FEMA and other US officials, telling them they should be "very proud" of their work to beat back last year's devastating hurricane season. [more]

Crony Central Planning Posing as National Security — Trump Tries to Foist Rising Coal Costs on the American People
    https://robertscribbler.com/2018/06/07/crony-central-planning-posing-as-national-security-trump-tries-to-foist-rising-coal-costs-on-the-american-people/

Ever since Trump came to office he’s been doing his best to save a polluting, harmful, and increasingly expensive energy source — coal. Why he would do this is rather nonsensical. Coal employs less and less people each year. It pumps toxins into the air and water. And it is a primary enabler of human-caused climate change — which among other things is putting the nation’s cities under threat from rising seas, worsening storms, and more severe wildfires. The Trump Dump
    http://ponziworld.blogspot.com/2018/06/global-synchronized-con-job.html

Trump's economic accomplishments to date are global trade war, higher interest rates, higher gas prices/Ponzi oil reflation, Emerging Market implosion, decade-low savings rate, a stock market sugar rally, and Wall Street deregulation. In short "The greatest economy in U.S. history"...

Those who believe in all that bullishit are about to get exactly what they deserve. The tale will pick up exactly where it left off the night Trump got elected - S&P 500 limit down, as everyone with an IQ greater than 5 shits a brick at the exact same time...

Global merchandise trade peaked three years ago. Does anyone believe that it's making a comeback any time soon?

Unfortunately, like the U.S. economy itself, the Globalized economy has become a zero sum game consisting of "winners" and "losers". Free traders can talk their book all they want, but they've been wrong for forty years straight, culminating in Donald Trump. And Trump is half right - the U.S. has been getting screwed on trade this entire time, but not by other countries taking their miniscule cut of the profits - by multinational corporations bilking the U.S. out of jobs and industries. For massive profits, all of which has accrued to U.S. debt. [more]

Since 1913, the Federal Reserve has engaged in 18 distinct interest rate hiking campaigns, and in every single one of those instances the end result was a large stock market decline, a recession, or both. Now we are in the 19th rate tightening cycle since 1913, but many of the experts are insisting that things will somehow be different this time. They assure us that the U.S. economy will continue to grow and that stock prices will continue to soar. Of course the truth is that if something happens 18 times in a row, there is a really, really good chance that it will happen on the 19th time too. [more]

    https://www.sott.net/article/387594-Unusual-killer-spring-frost-damages-crops-across-the-Canadian-Maritimes

An unusual "killer" frost has caused widespread damage to crops in the Maritimes, with everything from Nova Scotian wine grapes to Island asparagus harmed by a sharp plunge in spring temperatures.

Farmers were beginning to assess the toll from the June cold front that hit Monday, as word came from Environment Canada of yet another frost advisory for early Thursday in all of Atlantic Canada.

"It's the beginning of the year and it's a bad time for something like this to happen, just as the growing season begins," Keith Colwell, Nova Scotia's minister of agriculture, said in a telephone interview Wednesday. [more]

Financial guru Peter Schiff says everyone is being fooled by the mainstream media when it comes to the economic health of the United States. But Schiff says it is all a delusion and phony prosperity isn't going to last.

Because our economy is built on debt, we are in worse shape now than before the 2008 crisis, Schiff says. But no one is taking that debt into account, and eventually, it will burst. [more; ~ 39 min. podcast]

Earth in upheaval: Hawaii has been hit by over 12,000 earthquakes during last 30 days
    https://www.sott.net/article/387638-Earth-in-upheaval-Hawaii-has-been-hit-by-over-12000-earthquakes-during-last-30-days

We haven't seen anything like this since Hawaii first became a state back in 1959. Kilauea began erupting on May 3rd, and it hasn't stopped rumbling yet. In fact, authorities are telling us that Hawaii has been struck by "over 12,000 earthquakes" during the last 30 days. That is an extraordinary amount of shaking, and many are now becoming concerned that fundamental physical changes are happening to the islands. As one USGS official has noted, we have never seen earthquakes happen on the Big Island with this sort of frequency ever before... [more]

Mysterious Men in Black question Pennsylvania residents about unexplained booms
    https://www.sott.net/article/387648-Mysterious-Men-in-Black-question-Pennsylvania-residents-about-unexplained-booms

The ongoing saga of the mystery booms being heard across the United States continues, and possibly taken a turn for the spooky. Over the past year, unexplained explosions and booming noises have been shaking homes and terrifying residents in many rural parts of the continental U.S. While the vast majority of these anomalous booms are left unexplained, the FBI has taken a particular interest in mysterious explosion noises recently heard across rural Pennsylvania just north of Philadelphia. Does this mean some sort of sleeper cell terrorist group might be practicing with improvised explosives?

Given the craters found alongside rural roads, though, who knows? To add more mystery and a healthy dose of conspiracy to these recent booms in Pennsylvania, though, news reports suggest the ever-elusive and ominous Men in Black might now be on the case, doing what they do best: creeping out bewildered eyewitnesses. Is there more to this case than meets the eye?

Speaking to The Intelligencer, a newspaper covering the Upper Bucks County area of Pennsylvania where these mystery booms took place, residents described the "kinda spooky" experience they had following one of the recent unexplained booms. One resident who asked that her name not be used claims two eerily-familiar-sounding and unidentified agents of some kind showed up at her door unannounced, questioning her in a somewhat threatening manner [link to original story]

The world has been subjugated by a Roman Circus. What remains of America's greatness, is great arrogance

The ossified Japanification of the U.S. which we were told for decades "can't happen here" is the order of the day. We see this multiple ways, be it in the man himself, his obsequious court jesters, or via his zealous base of evangelical alt-Christians. There is no level to which they won't stoop to "regain" the glory of the lost past. And therein lies the irony - In attempting to restore the greatness of the past, they've sullied the very thing they were attempting to restore. Leaving behind a Roman-style narrative of a global empire that once past its apogee descended into sheer delusional rot. [more]
