Event Update For 2013-05-12

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2013-05-12 - Massive inferno destroys 37 buses at depot near Newquay (Britain), a third of company's fleet wiped out:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cornwall-22506806
http://www.middevonstar.co.uk/news/10415107.Huge_fire_near_Newquay_destroys_37_buses/
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2323714/Third-transport-firm-Western-Greyhounds-fleet-goes-huge-Cornwall-destroys-35-buses.html

Quote: "The blaze in Summercourt, near Newquay, Cornwall, broke out at about 1am today and caused significant disruption to services in the middle of the county, including some school buses."

Quote: "I was terrified to be honest. It was quite windy so the fire was spreading really quickly - thank God in the opposite direction to us. Once it had caught all the buses that were down there, the flames were enormous, 50 or 60ft easily with billowing black smoke. It was really intense."

Quote: "Once the fire was confirmed out it was established that a total of 37 buses had been involved."

Quote: "The scale of the blaze means that bus services across Mid Cornwall will be affected, with no park and ride service from Truro operating today. Disruption to school and general bus services is also expected."

Note: This is the new record for most buses burning up in one fire. The previous record was 30 buses, when a huge fire broke out at a bus depot in Seoul (South Korea), as mentioned in the 2013-01-15 update. The record for most semis burning up in one fire is 11, when a blaze hit a truck repair shop in New Windsor (New York), mentioned in the 2013-03-21 update. The record for most boats burning up in one fire is 58, which were consumed in a devastating fire on Norris Lake in Lafollette (Tennessee), mentioned in the 2012-09-10 update. And the record for most vehicles of any type burning up in one fire is 200, when a vehicle storage facility filled with RVs, boats and collector cars went up in flames in Mishawaka (Indiana), mentioned in the 2013-02-11 update.

There is a town in Illinois that is now renting garbage trucks because they lost all of theirs in a fire. As this problem escalates, eventually there will be no garbage trucks left TO rent and garbage pickup will end, first in one town or city then another and so on. The same goes for delivery of food to grocery stores and delivery of fuel to gas stations as semis and tanker trucks are wiped out. We could at least postpone these hardships by confronting reality and taking some simple steps, like parking vehicles well away from each other. They might only have lost ONE bus in this fire if they'd taken just that one precautionary step. Now mass transit and kids getting to school has been disrupted in that area, probably significantly.

By ignoring the atmospheric problem that is upon us, we hasten and exacerbate hardship and accelerate our demise. Is that really what people want to do? Will people still think that was wise when they're starving, they can't get fuel, and garbage is piling up everywhere? We will see...

2013-05-12 - Underground electrical fire takes out power to some in Palm Springs and Cathedral City (California):
http://www.mydesert.com/article/20130510/NEWS01/305100013/Power-restored-most-Edison-customers-Palm-Springs-Cathedral-City

Note: And yet another underground electrical fire. There've been a bunch of these the past year or so, and particularly in the last, say, three or four months. Hydrogen sulfide is an explosively flammable heavier-than-air gas and it will seek out the lowest-lying areas it can reach, like underground electrical vaults, sewers, basements, etc. Hydrogen sulfide is also reactive with copper, especially 'hot' copper with a charge running through it, like that found in underground electrical facilities...

2013-05-12 - Huge fire erupts at metal recycling center in Phoenix (Arizona):

2013-05-12 - Landfill catches fire in coastal Ghallis on the island of Malta:
http://www.di-ve.com/news/fire-ghallis-landfill-under-control

Note: From the full hypothesis: "Trash-related facilities such as recycling centers and landfills will burn hard too, as hydrogen sulfide is absorbed into flammable absorbent materials like wood, paper, cardboard, straw, hay, dried brush, generic trash, clothing, cotton, wool." Bing, bang, boom. Accurate predictions are actually pretty easy to make when you understand what's going on...

2013-05-12 - Massive fire engulfs garbanzo bean silos in Craigmont (Idaho), state of emergency declared:
http://www.kxly.com/news/north-idaho-news/large-grain-elevator-fire-in-graigmont-idaho/-/101230/20117656/-/68p99az/-/index.html

Quote: "Five structures in an area of approximately two city blocks were destroyed in the fire including three grain elevators, a flat house connected to one elevator and a maintenance shop."

Note: Garbanzo beans probably qualify as a flammable absorbent material...

2013-05-12 - Huge wildfire burning south of Ashcroft (Canada), evacuations ensue:

http://www.news-press.com/article/20130512/NEWS01/130512003/1014/FORECLOSURE/Multiple-school-bus-fires-Lee-County

Quote: "The call came in around 4 Sunday morning. Morgan said four buses burned in the fire and were damaged beyond repair."

Note: The wee hours are when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any hydrogen sulfide or methane floating in the atmosphere above closer to the ground, making explosions, fires and hydrogen sulfide poisoning events more common during those hours...

http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/Coral-Springs-Police-Investigating-Body-Found-in-Canal-207110361.html

Note: Another mysterious death in a canal in Florida. Florida is downwind of the dead zones in the Gulf of Mexico, which are surely pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide now. It's also a heavier-than-air gas which will tend to accumulate anywhere water does, like canals. People walking near canals in Florida (and elsewhere) are probably getting hit when a gust of wind blows some accumulated gas onto them...

Note: If you have the time, take a minute and Google Map Islamorada. You don't get more coastal than that! His boat engine was still running, but he wasn't in the boat. Sounds like he may have been knocked unconscious or dead by hydrogen sulfide, then the boat kept running until it hit land and threw him off the boat...

Note: Or some heavier-than-air hydrogen sulfide has accumulated along that stream and it spooked the horse, which threw the rider, who then lost consciousness and drowned. Or the rider himself simply lost consciousness and fell over into the stream and drowned (horses are bigger than people, so it takes more gas to knock them unconscious or dead)...

Note: I call this 'the standard model' for accidents these days: vehicle veers off road, hits something, bursts into flame, driver killed. Lots of drivers are probably being knocked unconscious by hydrogen sulfide as they drive now, then they crash. Since hydrogen sulfide is also a flammable gas, the odds of fire breaking out go way up, so we're seeing this particular scenario quite a bit now and this problem will get worse over time...

  1. Well, if you find a ship to Mars, I'd like to book two berths myself, and Sewage Class is totally acceptable!

  2. "2013-05-12 - Experienced diver, 51, goes for dive in Victoria Bay (Australia), found dead:"

I've seen from your reports that many scuba divers are dying.
What is your opinion on how they are dying? Aren't their bodies usually 100% covered in rubber or is the H2S absorbing into the unprotected parts of their bodies? I know that some people will dive without wetsuits but don't most of them usually have wetsuits, gloves, etc. to protect them from H2S absorbing into their bodies & because they breathe safe oxygen from a tank they are not inhaling any H2S. Is the H2S absorbing into the rubber wetsuits like it does with tires?

Because of the H2S right above the surface of the water & the fact that they rarely wear wetsuits, aren't the snorkelers actually at more risk of H2S?

    1. I think it's in the water (it is water-soluble) and it's being absorbed into their skin. They usually have some skin surface unprotected, like around their faces, maybe their hands or around their ankles. And if they surface for a moment and pull their mask off then they'd also be breathing air right at the water line, which is right where hydrogen sulfide might be present in gas form. But some of them are being found dead with all their gear still on, so that pretty much has to be absorption through the skin.

And yes, snorkelers do seem like they'd be in even more danger, and there have been some snorkeler deaths too.

It seems there IS technology available to detect chemical plumes from the air.
Quote: "The Laser Airborne Remote Sensing DIAL system uses topographic backscatter to provide a long-range measurement of the column-content absorption of chemical plumes in the path of the laser beam"
