And yeah, DC ...Nope, missed him somehow, so thanks! And yeah, DC is not the safest place. Two big events that I recall offhand in DC:

1) The Secretary of Commerce under Obama went crashing around DC in his car in 2012 and lost consciousness, maybe a seizure. No sign of drugs or alcohol. A few days later he resigned.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/us-commerce-secretary-john-bryson-suspected-felony-hit/story?id=16538887

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/06/event-update-for-2012-06-12.html

2) The White House caught on fire one night. This was never in the news. The reason I know about it is, there was a sudden announcement one day - 2012 maybe? I forget - that there would be a bunch of military jets doing flights over DC overnight. I thought that was weird so while I was working on the update that night, I found a live webcam pointing at the White House. Around 2 AM I started seeing some flashes of light, like smallish explosions, around the exterior lights on the White House. The webcam had no audio but I imagine those small explosions sounded like 'popping sounds'. Then some bushes caught on fire. And then the webcam suddenly went offline.

So the next day, I tried to find some pics of the White House, see if there were any scorch marks. Every White House webcam was offline and they all stayed offline for the next eight or nine days. By the time any were back online, the White House looked normal.

There've been some other weird stuff in DC too - a food truck exploding near the White House, somebody having a 'medical event' outside the White House, little stuff like that - little, but all part of the overall pattern.Jonny Mnemonichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06516458612879773986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4388504906915444063.post-58812165822263885292018-07-08T09:20:31.841-05:002018-07-08T09:20:31.841-05:00[whatever career you choose, stay away from journa...[whatever career you choose, stay away from journalism!]
Graph of the Day: Journalists missing or killed globally, 1992-2018
http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2018/07/graph-of-day-journalists-missing-or.html

Journalism has never been a safe profession, but in 2018, it’s more than three times as dangerous as it was 2001. Assuming this experience of the absurd, Camus wished to explore whether suicide was a solution to it. He concluded that it wasn’t. [more]

Thirteen foreign divers and five members of Thailand's elite navy SEAL unit are trying to bring the rest of the boys - some as young as 11 and weak swimmers – through narrow, submerged passageways that claimed the life of a former Thai navy diver on Friday. Ekapol Chanthawong, his assistant, was to take the younger boys to a soccer field nestled by the Doi Nang Non mountain range, a formation with numerous waterfalls and caves that straddles the Thai-Myanmar border. [so he's the guy that "fucked up"]

The hours that followed kicked off a chain of events that has riveted the world: a dramatic search and rescue that found the boys alive nine days later, huddled on a small, muddy patch surrounded by floodwaters. Attention has focused on the only adult, 25-year-old former monk Ekapol, and the role he has played in both their predicament and their survival.

As the rush to figure out how to rescue the group continues some have chided Ekapol for leading the team into the cave. A large warning sign at the cave’s entrance raises the risk of entering so close to the monsoon season, they say, and he should have known better.

But for many in Thailand, Ekapol, who left his life in the monkhood three years ago and joined the Wild Boars as an assistant coach soon after, is an almost divine force, sent to protect the boys as they go through this ordeal. A widely shared cartoon drawing of Ekapol shows him sitting cross-legged, as a monk does in meditation, with 12 little wild boars in his arms.
According to rescue officials, he is among the weakest in the group, in part because he gave the boys his share of the limited food and water they had with them in the early days.He also taught the boys how to meditate and how to conserve as much energy as possible until they were found. I only bring it up because his death seems to have some JJFH markings. No reports that I've found state any battle with a long running health condition. Every report says that he died suddenly of "natural causes". A few said it happened in the early morning like this one....

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/radio-personality-ed-schultz-dead_us_5b3e4d73e4b05127ccf00466

Most reports say he died in his Washington DC home, while a few said it was in his "lake home" in Minnesota. But, the nearest hometown paper to his home in Minnesota is Fargo, ND which said he died in DC. (He got his start in radio in Fargo decades ago and he went to college just over the state line from Fargo at Minnesota State).

Anyway, the sudden "natural cause" death in the early morning is suspiciously JJFH. And DC is of course on an old swamp, literally, and is coastal too.Mike Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14457050132624768898noreply@blogger.com
