I have always been somewhat...Yes, very interesting! I have always been somewhat skeptical that the asteroid impact is what killed off the dinosaurs. That's certainly not what killed off life in the other major extinctions. I think it was just happenstance that there was that asteroid impact during the demise of the dinosaurs. They were ALREADY dying, because of all that volcanism and the effects thereof. The asteroid impact was probably not helpful to their survival, but it didn't kill them off.

And look around now - rising volcanism, methane levels spiking, oceans heating up and acidifying, 'rotten egg' odors and hydrogen sulfide clouds hitting cities, even major cities. Looks like it's the same ol' same ol' all over again. What the dinosaurs had happen to them is happening to us. The dinosaurs were unable to protect themselves from an increasingly hostile atmosphere and environment, so they died. We're not protecting ourselves from an increasingly hostile atmosphere and environment, so we're dying too, just like the dinosaurs did, albeit with more 'electrical' fires and explosions.Jonny Mnemonichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06516458612879773986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4388504906915444063.post-11207414591257627122015-04-23T17:12:04.882-05:002015-04-23T17:12:04.882-05:00Might wanna read this one Jonny [hat tip Apneaman]...Might wanna read this one Jonny [hat tip Apneaman]:

http://www.skepticalscience.com/news.php?n=2892

So what did-in the dinosaurs?
