Starting in 1389, the vial of San Gennaro's blood typically turns liquid three times a year: on the Saturday before the first Sunday of May; on his saint's feast day, Sept. 19; and on Dec. 16, the day Mt. Vesuvius erupted in 1631.

The blood liquefied on Sept. 19 this year, but not on Dec. 16. "In local lore, the failure of the blood to liquefy signals war, famine, disease, or other disaster," Catholic News Agency reports.

The relic failed to liquefy in September 1939, when World War II broke out; during a cholera outbreak in Naples in 1973; and in 1980, the year of a deadly earthquake, Italy's La Stampa newspaper says. But Msgr. Vincenzo De Gregorio, the abbott of the Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro, took a philosophical view.

"We must not think of disasters and calamities," he counseled, according to the ANSA news agency. "We are men of faith and we must pray."

[translation: kiss your ass goodbye; and people thought the Mayan calendar incorrect (because the Earth didn't just collapse spectacularly as expected (by morons who can't even see they're polluting themselves to death). The truck, carrying a crane, was parked on the site of the road. It was not immediately known what sparked the fire. Then, around 7 a.m., an SUV fire erupted in the backlog near St. Davids. The view from Chopper 6 HD showed the vehicle fully engulfed in flames."

So a crane truck (cha-ching!) went up in flames at 6:15 AM and then an SUV went up in flames 45 minutes later up the same road a bit.Jonny Mnemonichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06516458612879773986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4388504906915444063.post-28702245358340492562016-12-20T07:09:51.971-06:002016-12-20T07:09:51.971-06:00Geez, Jonny - MO all over the place in today's...Geez, Jonny - MO all over the place in today's report.

That self-driving car can STILL burst into flames at any moment, sealing in any passengers for their ride to hell.

Hull back again!

The big question on everyone's mind is: Whose house will explode on Christmas eve or on the actual holiday?
