My garden is done. Though I managed to salvage about 30 ripe red tomatoes, the remainder of the plants are shot from all the rain while I was out west and the persistent "rust" or "blight" that has penetrated the soil (and comes back each year) destroying the leaves. My melon plant that had 2 nice sized ones on it, has been devoured by creatures who were hungry, and my cucumber plant is done. The squash plant, normally very prolific, didn't produce much of anything and all the greens I planted bolted before I left, from the week of super hot weather we got in July. The pepper plant still has 2 nice sized (still green) fruit. In June we had 21 days of rain here. It's been one of the wettest summers on record for PA.

That underground electrical fire in Havertown, the "ol' stompin' grounds" from my K - 12 years, was interesting being the first I ever heard of around there.

Tens of tons of dead marine life including fish dolphins turtles manatees and birds along the Westcoast of Florida from red tide algae bloom
http://www.thebigwobble.org/2018/08/tens-of-tons-of-dead-marine-life.html

[amplified UV radiation explanation in MrMBB333 video]
Is SOMETHING altering coastal ecosystems? - Strange Coastal Phenomenon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z2vg7c4FTQ&index=2&list=PLo273xJs-T3S873dM8-U6AuEE49Pl1LId [~ 21.5 min.; readings below]

AUG 10, 2018 Outside STRONG SUN Radiation #UVC #UVB #UVA - Bonus Viewer Pictures!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TUod0kxlvc&list=PLo273xJs-T3S873dM8-U6AuEE49Pl1LId [~ 3 min.]

BLACK BEAR NEWS 8.10.18 Foreigners face ban on buying homes in New Zealand after apocalypse bolthole
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxRmeSTn6PI [~ 39 min. video]

West Nile Crippling El Pasoans, Rising Temperatures Play Role
http://www.climatecentral.org/news/west-nile-el-paso-rising-temperatures-play-role-21905

Elisa Sierra had just given birth to twins when she became infected with West Nile virus.

The infection left Sierra, who lives on the West Side of El Paso, Texas, with meningitis and damaged her brain.

City data shows Sierra is one of about 100 people in El Paso who have been affected by a severe form of West Nile since 2000, which was around the time it was discovered in the U.S.

As El Paso and other governments work to reduce infections, a new analysis by Climate Central shows rising temperatures have increased the number of days each year when mosquito-borne diseases are likely to be spread across the United States. It is a leading driver of heart disease and stroke, lung cancer, and respiratory infections the world over. Exposure to such pollution, the most deadly of which scientists call PM2.5, is the sixth highest risk factor for death around the world, claiming more than 4 million lives annually, according to recent global morbidity data. Add in household pollutants from indoor cooking fires and other combustion sources, and the tally approaches 7 million lives lost each year.

As it stands, developing nations bear the brunt of the problem, but particulate pollution doesn’t discriminate, and the odds are high that wherever you live, you’re breathing it in, too.
